      He’s insanely powerful, I mean he’s literally the son of the strongest God (yes, in the Riordanverse Poseidon is the strongest if you’re paid attention) but the amount of monsters and Gods he goes against makes him look outmatched.

      @@ricocarpenter2189 Poseidon single handed defeated Typhon when all the other gods weren’t doing anything against him. Poseidon also rules the sea and can create earthquakes whilst the worst Zeus can do is summon a Lightning storm, and even then as shown by several characters over the series it’s not hard to dodge Zeus’s lightning nor is it that hard to survive it. I mean, Percy legitimately walked it off twice, and Typhon couldn’t even feel it. Plus Kronos is confirmed to be stronger than Zeus, whilst Poseidon is more than a match for Oceanus who is older and more powerful than Kronos, (Oceanus is actually on par with Gaia and Ouranos)

    • @ricocarpenter2189
      @ricocarpenter2189 Před 2 lety +2

      @@TheAlphatitan Im sorry, what? Kronos is stated to be the most powerful titan multiple times. Poseidon barely held his own against oceanus in sea of monsters. And Zeus defeated Typhon single handedly in the Greek gods book, not Poseidon.

    • @TheAlphatitan
      @TheAlphatitan Před 2 lety +16

      @@ricocarpenter2189 ??? Like I said Riordanverse, and in the Riordanverse Zeus’s attacks (as well as the attacks of all the other Gods) did nothing to Typhon, yet Poseidon just showed up and banished Typhon to Tartarus in one of the most badass scenes in the Riordanverse. Plus Oceanus is a primordial God, and while he’s called a Titan since he preceded the Gods, he’s not the spawn of Gaia and Ouranos and therefore not a Titan. His power has been said to have been greater than Ouranos’s and only slightly lesser than Gaia’s. Idk what you’re talking about as I don’t recall Oceanus in the sea of monsters, however Poseidon did very well against him in The Last Olympian, only losing when he had to leave to save Zeus and the other Gods. Poseidon is very much the most powerful (and most dangerous) of the Gods, I mean Percy alone has bodied Hades with a cheap version of immortality, and Hades in regular mythology is actually more powerful than Zeus as he’s the only one to disobey him repeatedly and not face consequences despite being Zeus’s more hated brother. Riordanverse one is a bit more complicated though. Besides, regardless of Kronos it stands that Kronos is no match for a primordial God, Poseidon matched a Primordial God, this makes Poseidon more dangerous.

    Percy survived the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens, stated to be more powerful than the eruption from the 80s (so at least 24 megatons, more than 1600 times as powerful as the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki) which is an insane durability feat. He held the weight of the sky for several minutes, first with Annabeth's help, then solo, which is an utterly insane strength feat. He has overpowered multiple gods and titans in their own domains (like the goddess of misery and poison and the sea titan) and trumped multiple others in contests of power or Skill (Ares, Hades, and Hyperion). He has strangled sea monsters, bullied ancient cyclopi, overpowered entire armies, and made the giants of the Heroes of Olympus look like a joke. This is one of the most objectively terrifying characters in fiction.

    Here's an interesting detail: Roman demigods don't have dyslexia, and this makes sense in universe.
    See, the in universe reason that greek demigods have dyslexia is that their brains are tuned for ancient greek, which is written in its own script.
    Roman demigods, by the same logic, are tuned for latin. Therefore, their brains would be tuned to the latin alphabet, which (with a few variations) is also the alphabet that english is written in, so it wouldn't make sense for this to cause them problems.

    For anyone who dares to say Percy isn’t the most powerful demigod in the series, Nico says it himself, he says Percy Jackson is the most dangerous person I’ve met (I don’t think those are the exact words but very close) considering Nico met Hercules, Achilles, and literally every demigod ever, this makes Percy automatically more powerful than literally every demigod ever except for god demigods like say Dionysus.
