The dry down of Black Opium Le Parfum is IMMACULATE! 🙌
When I first smelled it I got the florals and I wasn’t a fan, but once it dried down I fell in love! It’s a Vanilla dream! 🤤
People have been shitting on Black Opium Le Parfum and omg I am obsessed! It's such a yummy sweet vanilla instead of pure coffee and the patchouli is a nice touch to keep it from being plain sweet. Really really love it! Just wish it was stronger
Target’s new fragrance line, Fine’ry, has a beautiful cherry fragrance “Not another cherry” 🍒 Lasting power is decent on it too! It’s been in and out stock online so just sign up for notifications for restocks. Can’t wait for “Amber Dunes” this month from Skylar! I also added Lime Sands to my box. And I am DYING to smell 7 Virtues “Coconut Sun”! I live for beachy smells 🏝🥥

Totally agree. That target dupe is honestly good enough, especially since I usually just use it for layering. Exactly why I sold my lost cherry and got the dossier dupe.
I found On a Date at the Sephora in the Kohl's near me. Unfortunately, it was an immediate no. I actually recoiled from the strip, gave it another sniff to make sure I wasn't imagining things, and then tossed it. With Skylar, you're almost giving me second thoughts about cancelling my subscription. After they started charging for shipping, I decided the cost wasn't worth a rollerball that frequently lacks performance. Some of their scents are so good though! Also, you perfectly described every experience I've ever had eating peach rings. Haha.

Sweet, but not too sweet. Neutral, airy, fluffy, girly, soft. Fresh early summer peach juice, not syrupy or sticky.
If it was a colour, it would be a swirl of translucent pastel coral.

I feel like Skylar is the popular trendy girl and I want to like her because she's nice and sweet and she's never done anything horrible but I just can't do it.
I tried some of the older Skylar fragrances and didn't love, and then vanilla sky really put them on the map. I like sweet scents but I didn't like that one, I got waxy dollar store vanilla candle vibes. I was excited for coconut cove and honeysuckle dream and pink canyon but they were all just so boring to me, even though I usually go for something simple. The lasting power was awful. Fall cashmere was enjoyable for a while, although it's not typically what I go for, I don't really like spicy scents, but the bottle smells like absolutely nothing less than a year later, it's like all the scent molecules evaporated.
I buy almost every one, because the hype is real 🤣 but I never love them.
Another great video! I need to try more skylar fragrances. I'm also interested in the Valentino Donna Born in Roma intense as Honorine Blanc is one of my favorite perfumists. Also your comment about the peach rings is spot on! I thought I was the only one. Ha ha

Thank you for this video! I have Hanami by Phlur and just sprayed Missing Person on myself yesterday and really liked it. Thinking of getting the sample set cause there’s a few I’m interested in and I like really being able to wear a perfume a bunch of times before I commit when possible. Also planning to buy a full bottle of Arizona Bloom when my travel size is done.

I get the skylar perfume box and I got a sample card of peach fields at the end of last year and then the one of lime sands in February! I’m skipping lime sands because I have pacific lime and they smell similar enough that I don’t need 2 lime fragrances, but I did add peach fields to my March box because I think it’s going to be a great spring scent for me! Also super excited about the amber scent coming this month, I’m kind of hoping it will end up being like a “you smell so good but I can’t place that it’s actually a perfume” type of scent for me lol. Loving this space to talk about fragrance, I started getting into fragrance when you started posting more fragrance videos on your beauty channel a year or two ago and it’s so nice to get reviews that I trust not to mention from watching your fragrance videos for a while I feel like I have a good idea of what I like compared to what you like which ends up often overlapping which is awesome! 💖

I wasn't really a huge Daisy fan until the eau so intense version and I'm obsessed with it! It's the only Daisy perfume I have.
I recently smelled all the Black Opiums in store (except for the Extreme flanker, the tester was empty) and I also liked the new flanker the best. Neroli/OB + Vanilla is such a winning combo for me. It’s like an easy reach type of scent and definitely on my wishlist now.
I got the same sample of the Nest Balinese coconut and loved it! Tested black opium le perfume and like it, but i have 4-5 vanilla oils/perfumes I love, including nest madagascar vanilla.
I thought I didn't like Radiant Nectar because I'm not a big fan of pear scents, and wrote it off. Wound up getting it as a sample a long while later, smelled it...and lost my mind. I don't know how I ever thought this was too sticky with the pear, it's absolutely gorgeous. It's a beautiful skin scent and something I expect to wear in the spring and summer on days where I want to preserve my Light Blue. There's something about the musk that makes me keep putting my nose to it, but I don't want to put too much on because I love the intimacy this scent seems to want to provide. If Sparkling Sugar gives you similar vibes I might have to try it!
I blind bought the big bottle of Coconut Sun…I just knew based on the description I would like it. I really like it and will be rocking it through the summer….definitely a sunny scent. Long lasting but soft enough to wear to work.

Huge fan of Tangerine Boy!! I got a sample of it and was wearing it around when my bf was asking about it and wanted to try the scent himself LOL It’s very amber-leaning on him while on me it’s straight citrus. I ended up getting it for him for Valentines.
I have to use Peach Fields tomorrow, I forgot I had it! Definitely interested in a Skylar video. I just used up my Commodity Gold from Scentbird and had to order a bigger size!

I agree with pretty much everything you said! I had to pick up Valentino Donna Born in Roma Intense…. It’s just so well done and sexy. I got peach fields over BF and can’t wait to wear that in the spring. Sparkling Sugar would be really nice for those hot sticky sweaty days. I’ve tried On a Date… it’s just not memorable to me honestly. I don’t think you’re missing anything
I tried tangerine boy in store and loved it. But then again I love a lot of citrus heavy perfumes. I’ll definitely get it next sale.
i bought the new donna born in roma intense in the 30 ml. and it’s a 10/10. the lasting power on it is easily 6-8hrs. it’s definitely deeper and more vanilla to my nose than the original i say it’s a pretty safe blind buy if you love a more intense fruity vanilla

Hi! Love your videos! So I was testing the sparkling sugar also and it smells like sweet from Ellis Brooklyn but sweet is smoother and creamier. I really want to test the new Florist from Ellis also…. I’m waiting for one of these new releases to “wow” me. I haven’t been loving anything new yet.

Coconut Sun is something I'm really excited to smell in person. I wanted Skylar's Amber Dunes but skipped this month due to loosing my job. I LOVE January's so much. Definitely curious about Lime Sands. Shockingly, I've never smelled any of the Kilian fragrances.
I'm on the hunt for a good lime perfume. I got 10mls of Lime Sands from Skylar and Bohemian Lime from Goldfeild and banks. I like Lime Sands a lot, but it's definitely a specific vibe. Beachy is not my usual thing, but I'm sure I will wear it in the summer. Now Bohemian Lime is interesting because by itself, it pulls a little too masculine for me. Then I tried layering it with my other perfumes and found that Bohemian Lime and Boardwalk Delight from Skylar smell AMAZING together. I've been obsessed with this combo for the unusually warm February in Chicago.
I have Born In Roma Intense and I LOVE it. It’s my current favorite right now and my boyfriend loves it too.

Can’t stop loving you ❤ this is a love for me and I am saving to get this one as soon as I see it in a sale. I smell a bit of intense in it (not sure if listed in the notes but I pick it up and it gives it a sexiness and a distinct smell making it different than live don’t be shy). And I smelled on a date at Sephora and don’t like it much so won’t be buying that one.
I bought travel size of Somebody Wood and Tangerine Boy and like both. To me, Tangerine Boy smells more vetiver than citrusy but it’s definitely a very unisex smell. It also layers really well.
I adore Somebody Wood. It’s a lot sweeter even if still unisex. It’s the perfume version of Byredo’s Santal candle.
Speaking of “new at Sephora”, I think they recently started carrying 19-69 fragrances and got a sampler set for Valentine’s Day.

Weirdly a lot of people didn't like paco rabanne fame? I honestly liked it a looot. For me, the combination of sweet, ripe mango, elegant white florals, and creamy vanilla was soo divine. It's one of the few mango fragrances where the mango was done right and wasn't sharp or screechy. I recommend trying it for sure!
I don't even like mango or fruity scents and I like Fame

@@sererev I have, actually! Sadly it didn't quite work out for me. The mango was a bit too sharp for me and other people around me who have smelled it didn't like it either. I'd say if you typically like fruity fragrances and you want something with a lot of mango then mango skin might work for you. For fame, it's more of equal parts mango, jasmine, and vanilla so not quite as much mango. But it's very creamy and yummy, so I like it more :D

I snagged Coconut Sun from The 7 Virtues and it's very similar to Balinese Coconut from Nest or Coconut Cove from Skylar.
Coconut with a green background, some fresh white florals that are subtle and not dusty or dry. Beachy breezy and sweet but not sunscreeny or salty or briney.
I would not really put it in the same category as Bobbi Brown Beach, Replica Beach Walk, or Tom Ford Soliel Blanc as really sunscreeny type scents.
I agree. It smells like summer but not a sunscreen like scent!
Replica “On a date” was awful awful IMO. Like musty, dusty stale I don’t know what. It was a scrubber! Tested at a Sephora and wore around for a bit and couldn’t wait to remove it 🤮
Couldn’t disagree more, I got a bottle and have found myself craving it in the evenings but that’s the beauty of diverse noses!

I liked it, but only because it smelled almost exactly like my favorite perfume Armani Si, I already have Armani Si so didn't need this one :)

There are several new things I’m interested in smelling - I love Phlur Hanami so I want to try their new stuff, the new Kilian, Clean Reserve (peach is super hit or miss for me, so I think Radiant Nectar is the better choice), and quite a few that are not sold at Sephora. I’m not super interested in On A Date but I might have to sniff it just to see!
I’m a black opium lover and own 2 but this one intrigued me so I went to my local Shoppers and sprayed it and really liked it Si each time I would visit that store I would sample it many times. It’s on my wish list. I love it it’s a huge vanilla opium. I wish my Sephora would get more stock of Princess by Killian in. They are always out of it. J
Oh my gosh THANK YOU I thought my nose was broken! I smelled Black Opium years ago and all I could smell was a sharp floral bomb, but nobody else’s description of it has validated that experience.
It's entirely possible that I missed it, but I haven't seen you talk about Indigo by NEST New York, and I think you could potentially like it a lot. It's a tea scent with fig and woody notes and a hint of citrus.
I found the replica scent really smelt like rosé mostly. It’s nice, but definitely smells like a drink 😆

New opium love and bought the 1oz. Love all the vanilla! New valentino has my heart, it's my new favorite. Not the biggest fan of TF perfumes but loved bitter peach but had to smell lost cherry a few times in store to pull the trigger. Sad it doesn't last as long. Really want to try electric cherry but heard it's not worth it for the staying power. I am a Gourmand girlie love smelling edible but been really into super fruity scents to add to my collection. PLEASE do a fruity summer spring perfume video. Love your videos! Have you tried anything from House of Sillage? Been waiting for their restock of minnie cupcake!!

I blind bought Tangerine Boy based on the notes. It’s a lot sweeter than I anticipated it to be. I don’t hate it but I’m glad I purchased the mini size. I did recently smell the new Ellis Brooklyn Florist in store, can’t wait to hear what you think of it!

I already bought - and returned - the 7 Virtues Coconut Sun perfume. It was so disappointing. It very much has a pineapple kind of smell to it and I hardly get coconut. And it's just something I do not want to smell like. I own most of 7 Virtues' perfumes too but this was a big fail for me. Not a safe blind buy!
... and I also just received Heretic's Dirty Coconut and LOVE that one! It is a fantastic 🥥 scent. Not too dirty and definitely smells like Coconuts! ❤️

My Sephora has On a Date and it actually smells very pretty. I only smell the rose and black currant 🍇 I want it as a layering scent. Smells different but also relatable so I would wait for the sale.
The Donna Intense, its not more vanilla, its mostly benzoin heavy, i like it, but it smells weird when you press your nose to your skin almost like a urinal cake 😬 but when sprayed on clothes the sillage is nice. I like it!
Sorry if I've asked this before... have you ever smelled Room 1015's Cherry Punk? It is SO GOOD! It took me a few times of wearing it to REALLY get it. But now I am obsessed. I tried it from Scentbird, but I am definitely getting the full size when I'm finished with the SB one. It is a dirty Cherry scent that has that medical-type note to it. And I will find myself randomly thinking about it and wishing I can smell it again. And again. It stole my heart. I never thought I would love a cherry fragrance so much!
... this is the review I wrote for Scent Bird: At first spray - it is very heavy with the fake Cherry-scented candy (not quite cough syrup but close enough). It needs a few minutes to warm up... After 2 or 3 minutes the strong cherry wears down a lot and I smell the woodsy leather accord take over. It becomes a lot more pleasant here on out. Now about 5 minutes in I am picking up on a mixture of the other notes too and it smells much more well-blended. There is a nice sweetness that comes through that reminds me of honey (wonder if this part due to the Violet with the Cherry?), but it isn't too sweet - my guess because of the Sichuan Pepper (and Leather*) is providing a good balance. Very nice. But it definitely needs a good 5 minutes before it smells good. The more I wear this one - the more I understand it and like it.
I recently bought Valentino born in Roma (the original) because I heard so many good things about it. It is nice but sadly on me I don't get any vanilla, only florals. With the same order I got the roller ball set of Kayali Vanilla 28 and Musk. Both not new but I definitely need them in a full size because they smell incredible. From the new ones I would like to smell the new black opium. It sounds nice. I gave been more into gourmand smells lately
Donna Born in Roma was the same way on me. I didn’t start getting that sweet scent until the 4th or 5th time I wore it.
I also like to pair it with Prada Paradoxe. It’s like Paradoxe brings the sweetness out of DBIR even more. Love it!

I’m wanting the Nest too though. 🤔Speaking of Coconut have you smelled the new B&BW Coco Paradise scent? It smells really good. They also have a new aroma therapy scent called Uplifting Boost with Neroli and Bergamot that I really love.
I recently smelled the Coco Paradise body mist from B&BW and I thought it was a really nice coconut scent!! I didn’t get it but I might pick it up on a sale or with a free coupon because I think it will be nice for Summer!!

I didn't like the Sparkling Sugar either, it was so underwhelming for the name. I think Santal Vanille is def my favorite from 7 virtues for me, but I'm super curious about their new one. I also want to recommend a scent, def try to smell it in store or a decant, but Scandal for Men by Jean Paul Gautier is SO delicious, especially for date night or colder weather, but omg I love it.

On a date smelled like rosé to me - I was not into it. Tangerine boy was such a disappointment, but I’m definitely getting Apricot Puree at some point.

The commercial for Fame popped up as you were speaking about it. On my TV on Oxygen. It was crazy. I couldn’t tell what the commercial was even for when the showed the bottle flying around the too. And I looked back down to my iPad and there it was .. you were talking about it lol

Based on your comments about vanilla, I think you might really like BDK Rouge smoking. When it settles down on the skin you do smell the delicious vanilla husk... so good! Pas ce soir is also a beautiful one to try, a beautiful fruity gourmand

I also just picked up Paco Rabanne Fame perfume. And I really enjoy it. It smells more main stream, but a good main stream fragrance. Kinda like how I think of Prada Paradoxe as being like that too.
I usually start with travel sizes of perfumes and then if I go through it, that is pretty much my sign to get the full size. So I got the PR Fame travel set that's at Sephora. It has a travel spray and also a robot dabber as a bonus or for a discounted price for the 2. I do wish the small robots had a sprayer! I am kinda hoping ai get along with this perfume so I can get the full size robot bottle. It is just too cute 😍 I like that it is something different & playful, even though I can see how people can think it's "juvenile" looking. 🤷♀️
Oh I got that little set too! I just thought the mini robot dabber was so adorable I wanted to have it in my collection haha. But I smelled Fame in store and enjoyed it. Could see it as a nice summer evening scent. Excited to play around with the travel when I get it.
I just got tangerine boy during the sale and I can't decide. To me it immediately smells like tangerine, and then goes right to allllmost axe body spray, but then I love the dry down. My current fave is JHAG pear inc, and I'm thinking they might layer well 🤔
oooh. I have a little of Paco's Fame, and I like it? fruity and sweet? but not nauseating. imo. for reference, I do like Clean's Sparkling Sugar and find V&R's Flowerbomb sickly sweet.
Lauren, not sure which side of town your on but I smelled On a Date at the Sephora in Century City. I was so hyped for it based on the description but I was not a fan. Saved myself some money there 😅
I finally got my nose on it at a mall in the valley!!! It was interesting!! Like I kinda like it and the. It also was odd! Haha there was like a tang to it that I can’t tell if I like or hate!

If you’re ever near a Yankee Candle, stop a sniff their Midnight Jasmine, top notes are Jasmine and Sweet Honeysuckle, I’m not much of a floral person, but I’ve been stocking up on this fragrance for the warmer months. PS they come in a smell jar too.
Replicas On A Date smells very accurate to me. It smells exactly like champagne, roses, and grapes - like a romantic picnic date in the spring. BUT do I want to wear that? Not really lol
I’m just not a fan of most newer designer scents it seems, although I want to get the Phlur sample set. I just seem to like niche and indie a lot better nowadays

If you want to smell some AMAZING honey fragrance, very likable, try Naxos from Xerjoff. It's quite masquline, but super intoxicating. Even if you don't like honey🙃
I have Fame and I saw a comment that it reminded someone of good fortune and havingGood Fortune I agree, but instead of that fennel it’s mango. I will say it doesn’t last as long but it smells good.
I got a sample of the new Black opium le parfum and i was still not a fan. i wanted to like it so much because i love vanilla but this still gave me the same headache that the OG does
I just sampled the Balinese coconut from nest in store yesterday. It was super floral to me unfortunately. It smells similar to an old bath and body works perfume I have called ile de Tahiti coconut vanille. I want to smell the 7 virtues coconut as well. I just got a scent bird of heretic dirty coconut. That one smells just like opening a can of coconut milk, but the lasting power is weak.
