Sorry if this video seems a little hodge-podge, I had a completely different speculative video based on the livestream and just as it was just about done... the testlive dropped, so I had to race to redo everything, do some testing and finalize the video before my deadline. But... it's finally here!
And for once, it's an update with a lot of love for pvp - balance changes, building health, answers for poison, horse nerfs and counterplay... we've got a lot to discuss! So, sit back and enjoy this slightly more rambly than usual video as we try to cover a few topics.

Learned to take your videos as a rare treat rather than some regularly scheduled thing, as even though the releases are irregular, they are always top notch entertainment. So you go do your thing man, will be waiting when another upload happens! I can always watch "that" video again for the 7th time if the cravings become unbearable :)

Tbh, being a fan of Welyn and Blooprint and even RussianBadger, I have come to appreciate quality (those three) over quantity (Vanoss, Wildcat, Cartoonz; tbf, I have not watched them in 4-5 years XD). The incredible quality of these videos are so dumb to me. PvP in this game is such shit, and he makes it so tactical, so interesting, and so fun that it almost has me going to PvP servers solo. Almost. PVE-Conflict is my happy place

i havent been foaming at the mouth for conan bc i have given up on funcom, but you really are the only conan creator that's actually very entertaining to watch. i know a lot of effort goes into dealing with a server long enough for a video to your standard, and i appreciate it a lot. But that's why ppl hound you for sure lol

Hopefully one of these days, they'll release a set of interior walls that look identical on both sides. Hate having to use all kinds of tricks and wasted space just to make an interior look right.

I think what made your Conan content "better" had more to do with the storytelling. I imagine (hope) your V content will reach up to rival and surpass the storytelling in your Conan content as you become more familiar and accustomed to how V works--the meta, the cheese, and the ratty shenanigans you can use against those. Or maybe it's just a matter of getting some really dramatic playthroughs in Conan that you haven't gotten in V yet.
Either way, I'm sad to hear you likely won't have the time to make what I consider your flagship content for a while, but you deserve to have your life. I'll just have to trawl these "other content creators" for a while and take your story videos as a special treat. Be good to yourself, man.

For corrupted builds you can have 2 thralls and a demon, share damage taken with them, they heal you when they deal damage and you heal them, you have passive regen and you regen the last instance of damage taken. so sure your lifepool is lowered but your effective lifepool is pretty damn high
Passive Regen from Vit is trash, imo. With everything else, not bad, but it is trash

It will be a shame if you can’t do one of your epic videos on 3.0 but I can see from the quality it must take a lot of time to pull them together. You are by far the best creator, in terms of quality of video, story telling and strategy, that I have watched. Even the V rising videos were fantastic despite the fact I hadn’t even heard of the game before watching them! All the best mate

I'm waiting for the release of 3.0 with mixed feelings. There's been lot of changes during this 5 years I've been playing the game, but this update for some reason feels more significant than any of the previous ones, really not sure why, but it does.
One thing I know I will miss is the ability to pick up work benches and building pieces. I know you can dismantle them using that stupid new hammer and get all the mats back, but it's not the same. I have a habit of taking out my benches only when I'm crafting something and I put them back into locked chest after I'm done, so that there is nothing but thralls and hidden locked chests in my little hiding hole base if someone finds it.
Also after the change to the building system I can't even get out of my building if I respawn there and I don't have that hammer.
But I guess I'll adapt.. I always do.

looking at the corrupted perks if you full corrupt vigor and you fill out strength normally you get a weirdly tanky build ( you can make armor weigh less , reflect or reduce damage, become immune to status effects, do thorns damage and do more alot more damage with your melee attacks. you'll hit the threshold to trigger berserker really easily too ) . I'm no conan expert but it looks fun
content aside i love your V-rising videos and if this is it for Conan content for a while because you enjoy playing other games more i'll be along for the ride !

I bought Conan, because I came across your channel. I made it about a week before I just gave up.
I don't really see anyone making Conan content like you, and if there is I'm not nearly as interested. There is just something about your Conan content that I can't get a enough of. I did watch all the V Rising content, and for me, it just didn't hit the same way as Conan. I'll watch pretty much whatever you put up.

Thanks for this. I saw the update to Conan and the recent reviews dropping Conan to mixed I thought they did something really terrible to the game with 3.0. But based on this review it should be the other way around but people are big mad that new cosmetics are now going to cost more per item than before even as they can now transmog which blows my mind. That's worth reiterating, they just gained the ability to wear anything and make it look like anything they already have and they are still unbearably mad about new cosmetic options costing more.

Hey dude, first of all, love the content man, no matter what you come out with!
If I may tell a little story. In lieu of the upcoming update, my friends and jumped back into a seemingly okay pvp official server. Unfortunately the server was infected with 2 clans using ESP, flying and speed hacks to pick off players. My clan, along with another ally clan, making up a total of 10 players, devised a plan to take them out with systematic bombing keeping them on their toes and never knowing where we are by the time they finally show up. Unfortunately this was thwarted by how powerful these 4 players. As a result, official server #1800 had at least 20 players and 5 clans up and leave last night w/ many uninstalling.
This game as so much potential, but Funcom needs to put a chunk of their money to protecting their player base first and foremost to keep players playing. For for those of you thinking, "Well just go to a pvp private server". I have before and that's all fine...but I'm specifically talking about THE official servers. The servers run by Funcom themselves to provide a fun and safe experience for all new players who purchase the game. A good experience brings players back again and again, enticing them to buy DLC if they love what they they're playing, so you'd think they'd want to invest in protecting that potential income. Outside of myself, I feel for the new pvp players trying the game for the first time, only to get crapped on with hacks and never come back to the game. Now I know I'm only talking about the pvp player base of Conan and this doesn't effect PVE and role players so much, but still. We pvpers matter too, right?
Anyway, sorry for the long post. I was really looking forward to this update, but until Funcom shows some real care towards protecting it's pvp player base, I'll be keeping the 109gb free for something else. Keep up the fun content man!

All there is to say about it.
Am a PVPer myself, and actually shocking as it might seem, I DON'T MIND LOOSING. It means to me atleast, that there is some hole in my playing/strategy/tactics or gear up, I need to discover and shore up.

But if you look at all classic pvp games when "confident" pvper get their dose of humiliation they find all sorts of excauses and quickly insult their oponent.
Most apparent in all those fun videos of pros who pretend to be newbies and give cocky players some treatment. ;)
@@corneliusdobeneck4081 I approach PVP in two ways, based on real life experience: A) I generally try to record my PVP sessions, so that I can review it later, to find out where in movement, resource usage or tactics/strategy it is that I need to Shore up and improve upon. This first strategy,harkens back to my days playing high school football.Where our coach would tape both OUR games, and the upcoming Opponents. That way not only could WE strengthen our own Weaknesses on the field. But also so that we could recognize and EXPLOIT our opponents weaknesses to our own advantage.
and B) stemming from my own days in the field as a USMC, I try to shape the battlefield to my advantage. as an example: In a purge/Big Boss fight or PVP situation, I generally ensure I always have some set arrows,poison and exposive arrows in my quiver, as well as several Poison Gas Orbs, along with my usual assortment of arrows, to wittle/ and cripple my opponent down, Prior to engaging in CQC with them. Usually while having a tanking thrall engage them in CQC before I do.

I miss your content and hope you are well. if you are taking a brake from being online, you deserve it because only few know how much effort and time it took you to make those amazing and entertaining videos. You are the youtuber that made my Conan experience better than any other one could with all the your videos that taught me the most efficient methods of gameplay and at the same time had me laughing and entertained. I hope that the stars align and eventually you gain the will to give the game we all both love and hate another shot. Even if it doesn't happen, its hard to find content of any type that surpasses rewatching yours.

Whole heartedly agree with everything you said. I'd love to go back to Conan but since it consumed a good portion of my life I'm kinda glad I un installed it over a year ago. Don't get me wrong I'm tempted but like you said it'll take up more time than what I can give it and I don't think I'm ready for that.
Been looking to try out this game for a while, any recommendations or just dive in and let the insanity hit me through the loincloth?
I've been playing the testlive for like a week now and so far I only have a few small gripes. The most important is that the final perks for your corrupted attributes are all cool, but can be a little problematic at times, particularly when trying to knock out npc's to get thralls and human sacrifices. You smack an npc and summon a demon that tries to kill them and/or create a vent of corruption that also hurts them, and they smack you and you let off a burst of corruption that then kills the npc you only wanted to knock out. They're good for when you want to kill things, but make it hard (though not impossible) to acquire thralls and sacrifices. Maybe there's some better method of knocking out npc's that bypasses this problem that I'm just not aware of as a relatively new Conan Exiles player.
Less important, I hate the recent trend of strength not being what gives you more carrying capacity. Conan Exiles isn't as big of an offender on this since it does still give you a little bit, but I've been seeing more and more games give you another attribute that carry weight is tied to and it bothers me. Strength makes the most sense for it and it always will. Don't change it.
You do what you want buddy I'll watch anything you upload, I'm not here for Conan Content. I enjoy your Narrative and narration, the stories you create along the way a good and you upload solid content. Play what you want man, I wasn't ecstatic about the V Rising content but once I watched the first 2 episodes I was hooked and realized it's the same story telling and just a different game. Have fun and just do you buddy.
As someone who avoids PvP in these types of games like the plague. I pretty much never touched the horses. When i first tried them they felt clunky in pretty much every way possible, not that much faster than sprinting and just overall unfun to interact with and not worth the marginal increase in travel speed to get from point A to point B let alone needing to deal with them possibly dying.
So its very interesting to see that from a PvP standpoint they were one of the most hated things primarily due to the mounted combat system

Honestly they could make it once your building was damaged you cannot build on it or connect to it until 5 mins after the damage. That would solve the entombed issue.

Not to mention i feel like everyone is gonna wear fake cloth in pvp
I mean what does it really matter? I mean it won't change how you should approach an enemy. And when you kill them you can see what armor they had on basically so you have their environment of their possible base information

I like the get your body back because I lost alot of shit from a lack ghost wall and my body was so far away from the edge I couldn't get my stuff back. But you die the moment you walk in the ghost wall so you should be right on the edge but you not.....so that's a huge bonus to be able to retrieve your dead body from an area.

Hey Cero, can you make a pvp building guide, updated for Age of Sorcery? The building guide you have is slightly outdated (RIP stacking) and the bat/bridge spells mean that anticlimb needs to be rethought, and I'm struggling hardcore.

wow just looked it up thats cool even though I just bought the Game I thought I was only getting Conan Exiles sorcery , but the TestLive Client which I don't think I will install it seeing both and each are 82. something GB bit much and reaching my Limit Space on 3 different Drives TB each and a 2TB drive man Games are getting Larger, 1TB is no longer sufficient. But guess I bought it at a good time seeing how they added lot to this game.
