Thanks for having us, KEXP!! It was a blast.
Saw you open for Algiers in toronto. Blew the roof off the place.
Keep it up 🤘💪
bought the damn discography!
You guys blew my mind on the OFF! tour in Aus. You guys are amazing
Chaotic, just like life. I love it
If that is the case, I am going to love it. First time listening, alt j is really nice 😊
This is the coolest thing I've seen all year. Bless all experimental musicians and radio stations.
Whoa! That is a lot of amazing noise for just two people.
This is precisely what I didn’t know I needed today. Love it! 🔥
What a slap!!! Excellent. Thanks KEXP for this discovery.
So nice to see, and tk u so much for visiting us in the arse hole west coast of France last winter it was a real pleasure to have u around. Cheerz!
France was hella fun!!!
Love this band!
And KEXP is the best!
each time mesmerized by all their incredible creations… could literally stare and listen to them for hours
My cat is absolutely losing his shit to this
Fascinating and unique singing style. Great fun!
Amazing band! Bloody lovely people too. I was fortunate enough to see and meet them in the USA recently x
Their bass sound is so raw it’s blowing my mind to see there isn’t a bassist present.
the drummer is a hectic bassist himself! Check out his other band called Arse!
Sydney represent! As a fellow Syd musician very proud to see them on such an international stage!
Other Syd bands people should check out - Arse, Shady Nasty, Sketch Jets, GT, The All Mother, Holy Forrest, Behind You
They killed it. Love that technology has really allowed us as musicians to dig our heals in and not compromise on what we want to create and how to express ourselves. If you have talent there is no better time to be alive than now.
Gimme some Shoegaze/Noise Pop
Sydney bands please.
Just a couple of legends doing their thang
Cheryl Waters coming in with the jams.
Fuck yea
aaaand that's going on the 'awesome' playlist.
omg this is so insanely awesome i cant believe it.
Outstanding drumming

La virtuosidad del músico.
rad
Best band to come out of Sydney since the Necks.
Party Dozen - Full Performance (Live on KEXP) 1305pm 12.5.23 AUSTRALIAN? I wondered why the drummer looked so incongruous to the events unfolding... he looks well versed in trad jazz drumming... they need some bass and guitar to back up the relevant noise. i like this....
Seeing The Necks in a few days in Melbourne for 10th time I think. Awesome band and would love them on KEXP one day hopefully! Wish they were better known.
@@jeffkent6886 Comments on ‘Party Dozen - Full Performance (Live on KEXP)’ 15.5.23 0357am afew people have mentioned the necks. will go and listen to it... i was hoping KEXP would feature DEAD SEA APES as that band would be a new style for such a show as this... a decent session would be more than welcome. hopefully it goes and plays north America soon so we can have a listen... or does a session from London... who knows... they might get to perform a session a la Mudhoney atop some famous landmark.. on the roof - beatless style.
Steady on! The Necks inhabit their own universe. Would love to see an KEXP set, though.
Wouldn’t listen as a steady diet but that is some drumming.

Yooo..let's fucking party
Це просто ахуєнно. Мої вуха оргазмірували. Я навіть не уявляв, що це можливо в наші часи. Дякую.
Party Dozen - Full Performance (Live on KEXP) 1301pm 12.5.23 i got it tuned... i need my party dozen or preferably a myriad 6 packs... and my tv.
Why do I like it?
Blame it on the Jazz Blame it on the Jazz kittens and puppies
They remind me of the Dirty Three...not surprising that Nick Cave likes them.
Party Dozen - Full Performance (Live on KEXP) 1318pm 12.5.23 oz!!!!!!!??? i heard clarinet utilized within flying saucer attack composition... i think if you stuck some peddles onto a clarinet you'd make a good sound... as for whittling their band down to a duo. who are we to tell them what to do? but, like most, i do think it feels right if they have a bassist and guitar making a contemporary racket alongside the two of them... i am thinking: the more hectic and nosier the better!!!
I recommend the band Big Blood if you like this sound.
what de jec
If Pigbag only ate 'Smart Marshmallows'
where is the bass player, not of Zeus. Calle me director 😂❤🎉
White stripes on earth 2
Hot mutha fukin flamé!
soundtrack of the 2024 election protests
Saxophone abuse
Great stuff!
I'll get push back for this but I need to state my opinion anyway... this is not a live show. Maybe it's 48.5% live but I am not down with prerecorded playback to this extent. Literally half of the band's sound is missing in this live setting. There's even prerecorded sax.
That said, I think live looping is awesome because it's laid down in the live setting. For sure, their individual performances are off the chart. They just need to bring the other players along to make truly live music. *rant off*
Party Dozen - Full Performance (Live on KEXP) 1310pm 12.5.23 hurrah!!! we concur... i was wondering how much of the other guys' compositional input was also preset... the drummer seems to be giving it is all. i thought the sax lady was also making an effort. as for the backing tape - sounds pretty good. no idea why you couldnt get some competent kiddies in to make this work as a group. maybe they couldn't find musicians who enjoyed to make a racket like this? who knows? best ask them, i suppose... as for tape loops - dunno... they've been used since time immemorial or samples have... it doesn't detract from the music but does give it a young kid tries to make good at Butlins holiday camp kindda vibe... as for filler- a great many live acts use filler. just these guys seem to use more than their fair share of pre-recorded thingies... anyhow; a decent sound for all that. if i was listening as i made my soup in the kitchen i think: yeah.... as i did yesterday. coming to watch the duo i, like you, think/ask: where's the other guys...?
The drummer triggers almost everything in realtime as well as belting the fuck out of the kit. It's even harder live to play to a sample on a fixed tempo. I have a feeling he might be controlling tempo with some kind of midi into each pre-recorded section. Amazing live band, go and see them live!
This is a totally valid opinion. This music is awesome all it really needs is a bass and a guitar player and they can get rid of the playback. Im sure there are tons of capable musicians that would be absolutely mad about joining a group like this. I know i would.
Its the coolest project ive seen in a while. Their albums go insanely hard i became a fan over night.
It sounds good but for a "live performance" it sucks.
Why does it seem like half of the band is a recording?
Where are the base and guitar players which make up a significant portion of this so called "live performance"?
It all looks previously recorded.
How can you have such a bass heavy song, killer riff... and not actually have it played by a musician? Weird and a bit stale to watch. I guess they do this to avoid having to pay for a bass player
From nothing to nowhere.
Cut, dislike.
It's not enought to say just that - but I am really amazed !!! Fabulous show, excellent music !!!
very good drumming
