- Is there an easy way to spin a Lego Minifigure up to 10,000 revolutions per minute? How many engines will be required for this? What gears and how many are needed to achieve high revs?
00:00 Testing max RPM with 24 teeth and 8 teeth gears
02:12 OK, let's test 40:24 gears

At high RPM, the Lego starts to break down. Any ideas how to avoid this?
Put some plates betwene frame and technic brics and connect technic bricks to frame by some horicontal beams or technic brisćks also if you take off frames and instead use technic bricks and plates you ´ll have much stronger base, or just slow down lol xd
oil the axles
Thread to tie the pieces together
Cross-lock the Lego with perpendicular piecs, beams and pins.
use lubricant i reccomend veggie oil as its safe and cheap
That head spin at the end was epic
Tu ļoti labi liec lego👌👍👍👍👍👍🤘
Yeah
Yep
Completly
I agree to the fact that it was epic
It's so satisfying to look how you improve on the construction after it breaks
I was just gonna comment about this. Him having to like reinforce the structure adds to the appeal of it.
@@Youonyouon ikr
Regular kid me would have just completely rebuilt it
I just would give up
This is like g force training for lego people. That minifig is gonna be the best pilot in the world.
Nah dude hes fucking dead
nah he's gonna be dead

Minifig has crapped himself more times than he cares to admit.
I grew up with Legos but I’m gonna be honest with you I don’t think I’ve ever heard somebody play with them as loud as this guy does
I have. My brother and I once took over the entire front room of our house by emptying all three of our 30 gallon Lego buckets on the floor. We then spent a month building a little city in the "Lego Junkyard" as we started to call it. There was a lot of cursing that month from Legos going rogue and finding feet.

I love how sometimes the construction just destroys itself because can't take the force anymore but the astronaut still taking it like a champ
Also to get max rpms:
Chart motor current VS rpm to find the most efficient loaded condition of the motor.
Increase voltage (up 30V)(?).
max is 12V due to overcurrent protection bruh
@@Frostnaut50_official not if you add motors.
@@Frostnaut50_official Max voltage on this motor 40V
If lego spins like that, it can make engines for airplanes, helicopters and... if designed, can be a good lego person!

Бедная фигурка
There's only so much you can do with one motor. The more rpm you shoot for, the less torque you have to spin the minifigure.
3:08 the LEGO figurine finally managed to scream 😎
i love how every issue was just solved with lego pieces. satisfied.
This guy is about to discover how to get something into light speed with legos 💀
Here first if this blows up
The poor guy was literally phase shifting into another dimension holy shit
If you do enough calculations, thats the rpm of a high-seperation force fairing.

Этот гениальный чел:
"You spin me right round, baby right round like a record, baby right round, round, round."
I like the fact he goes faster than a car
Well a car is heavy
@@apocalypse5228 heavier than that Lego figure's balls?
@@Joutube_is_trash didn't knew you were interested in balls but ok
When I saw his face at the end I deadass said out loud “ye, you better be piss scared or he won’t be as merciful next time
I feel more sorry for those poor motors than I do the minifigure
astronaut: you spin me right round baby right round
Crazy to think lego pieces can spin as fast as a car engine
Not really, kinetic energy is mv²/2, meaning for a same speed, a 10 timds heavier object needs 10 times less energy. A car wheel is much, much heavier than that lego
@@gaetanbouthors its the same speed as a car engine? Yes. Its the same force? Absolutely not.
@@TheMegamanan ye thats what I said, although they spin as fast, its not that crazy coz it requires incredibly minimal energy in comparison
Rpm wise it is because of the magic of gear ratios but the torque involved is far from par. I get to it point tho
In theorie u can ket everyrhing spin that fast and even faster
"How many engines will be required for this?" Probably a dozen
It’s Not required, it’s necessary.
The first lego man to phase through reality
Watching a LEGO driveshaft torque itself out of its engine block is one of the most satisfying things I didn’t know I needed to see.
Man's getting ready to fly to Mars 🤣
2:55 sounds like a diesel idling
bro do you understant that what you made has almost more power than a race car?
thats beyond insanity!
No he did not??? How did you come to such conclusion?
Weight
@@derSkedda they ignored weight
Maybe speed but not power wtf
Man started to sound like an A-10 Warthog
1:16 you made him so fast you distorted the universe and ripped apart his atoms.
Thank you for making a lego torso look like a 2x2 circle tile
I think you might be able to get a higher RPM with a more balanced “flywheel” at the end, (either 2 or 4 mini figs in a parallel or star pattern respectively)
alternative name:how turn lego figurines into plane propellers
You spin me right 'round, baby, right 'round
Like a Lego, baby, right 'round, 'round, 'round
ngl that last spin sounded like a gatling gun firing.
What an excellent study in exploring design limits. Also lots of fun! 😁

Finally someone put a motor on the right end of the gears to achieved light speed.

Pretty sure this Lego man has travelled into the future
"the g-force is too great, our astronaut was decapitated."
"Well, just glue his head back on. And use that fancy glue."
The whole time watching I had the interstellar music playing in my head
0:43 head flys off!! So dangerous!!
3:16 - best moment!
That spinner so hard his head came off
The background fireplace adds a lot of atmosphere
I’m surprised the helmet stayed on as long as it did
you really spun this man at high velocities
0:43 just nanosecond before he lost his head, I thought to myself “at least he’s wearing a helmet”
I like the fact eveytime he changes something atleast 1 thing goes wrong
If it goes a little faster it can easily make a black hole
next step: make a RC plane that actually flies
Minifigure: Help! Save me from this madman! LOL
Id watch a 1h vid of a figure spinning at 700 rpm any day please do it lmao
This is really cool to see. One of my classes this year is technology and we have been doing things with gears but we haven't done anything motorized yet. I am excited if we do!
Make a car that moves by the car shaking or spinning like in 0:54
That astronaut was like: Imma "head" out
0:50 The face of "Let's fucking do this!"

The ending was really cool and the “experiment” I guess was even cooler
Thanks!
A Man Has Spinning in Lego City.
Pls make something star wars!
Interesting, the gears seem to have a 1:3 transmition.
For the first ones this is roughly consistent: 200rpm, 600, 1800
But then the increase in ratio goes down, seems as the torque goes up it slows the motor down.
Low speeds mean there is high torque available, and vice versa. Since more torque is needed to turn the shaft due to the extensive gearing, it cuts down on speed. This is what is observed in the video. To make the transmission ratio increase constantly to 1:3, either more voltage needs to be applied over the DC motor circuit (which is not a good idea), or a second parallel motor needs to drive the circuit over a second shaft
@@Kallum that's an explanation I was looking for in the comments section, thank you so much! Surprisingly nobody bothered about the reason behind this sudden and significant drop in RPM. Probably everyone just got that naturally... well, I guess I'll need to pass the secondary school program in physics once again.
@@playaaaLV No problem! I am a student in electromechanics and power electronics, and i have to say there are many videos on youtube explaining really well how this works. Might be interesting to look up some time, it's really fun to learn about.

Balance your minifig!
Fix him in just the right position so that there is NO vibration.
You'll get more rpm and the builds will stay together.
And the axle won't melt when he decides to jump the shark and add like forty motors tom ake the minifig's limbs separate

Can you put him vertical to drive gear its reduce vibrations

The transition at 1:16 killed me.
He's just lying on the ground near death only to be put right back on with a higher gear ratio.
