    So the truth be told, I'm not the biggest fan of most Ryobi tools - but this portable Ryobi EzClean pressure washer is worth a second look! In this video I review the Ryobi EzClean 18v one+ and 40v portable brushless HP battery powered power cleaners. I show how to setup these cleaners and use them around my house to do some basic cleaning tasks.
    One of the very unique features of these models is that they can draw water from almost any source so cleaning in difficult situations is possible.
    This power cleaner is great for cleaning patios, cars, windows, camping, beach, bikes, boats, and grills.
    If your looking at buying a power washer, make sure you check out this video!!!

    • @rolandm9750
      @rolandm9750 Před rokem +10

      @@julesgranati5860 In theory the 40V will last 2x as long for the same Ah rating. Ryobi "40V" is actually 36V so it's exactly 2x what a ONE+ battery is. In a "single row" battery a ONE+ will have 5 cells, a "40V" will have 10 cells.
      To put it another way, a Ryobi "40V" 2Ah battery has the same *energy* (Wh) as a ONE+ 4Ah battery, all other things being equal (e.g. like having the same make/model cells inside). Both have the same number of cells at the same capacity. Assuming the same *power* drawn they will last roughly the same time.
      However interestingly as in the video the tools are extremely similar, and you'd say identical from the battery up. They cannot be the same exactly internally since one is running on 18V and the other on 36V. But, since they are so similar I'm wondering if they haven't just put in some kind of converter to step down the 36V from the 40V battery to 18V. In this case there would be some loss in the step down (won't be 100% efficient) and you wouldn't really get the same run time per battery Wh as the 40V would be slightly worse in that dimension. That's *if* it's really the same motor inside and they are converting voltage.

  • @rolandm9750

    Another few differences between the 40V and the ONE+:
    -40V comes with the aux handle, probably due to it being more likely to be paired with heavier batteries.
    -Being a 40V outdoor tool it seems Ryobi gave it a 5yr warranty. The ONE+ version only has 3yrs.
    -Just looking at it, I think it might not be easy to do the 2L bottle thing on the 40V due to the size of the battery case? I haven't tried (just got mine) but it seems like the battery case would be in the way.

Also, take a toothpick and push open the internal check valve on the connector to free it up to make priming quicker. It's still an initial slow draw when changing the hose into a new water supply. The 2L bottle draw should be much quicker.

    The price though... they sell electric 2000 psi models with wheels like suitcase style for 20-40 more dollars than these cost and you can do so much more... yeah you cant use a bucket but damn if that thing was 80-100 bucks would be the ticket.

      A valid point. In fact you can get around a 1900 Ryboi pressure washer for about what this thing costs (a few years ago, you could have actually purchased it cheaper than this unit).

      If you just wanna to spray off dirt and debris (like maybe something that your leaf blower can't handled), yeah, this will do the trick. It will be too time consuming to removed heavy mold or algae because you'd have to have the nozzle so close- but for even small amounts of that on your deck, it will still probably get the job done.

The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

    One thing I don't like is that you have to get super close compared to a 2000 PSI electric power washer

    • @kevinmach730
      @kevinmach730 Před 11 měsíci +1

      This is totally true, but not what this product is designed for. For me personally, there are probably 10x as many jobs where I don't need that kind of power, and I don't want the hassle of breaking out the electric pressure washer- unraveling electrical line and finding an outlet, unwinding the hose, unwinding the pressure hose, assembling the wand etc, I got 10-15 minutes of work before I've started cleaning anything off, when the power is already overkill for the job I'm doing (and then I'll have to do the same work putting it away). Most of the jobs I need it for, the EZ Clean is great for, and just takes a a bucket of water to have it running.

    I got the 18 volt and it sucks! It does ok if hooked to a garden hose, but if you use a bucket and pull the water out of it, it has less pressure than me pissing on the wall! Only if I put the bucket way above the nozzle will it put out any usable pressure. Highly disappointed!

    Why do reviewer continue to say that a larger amp hour battery doesn’t increase performance. ONLY time. They ABSOLUTELY increase performance (watch any reviewer who has an actual way to test a product. Speed, power, etc). They weren’t really designed to increase performance, but they do.

    • @kevinmach730
      @kevinmach730 Před 11 měsíci

      I have never noticed a power increase on any ryboi tool I have based on the battery. It has something to do with how the unit is designed electrically and I read something written by an electrical engineer that there are only a few brands that are designed in a way that the different battery will make a difference (Milwaulkee Fuel line, for example). But to me, it always sounded like saying if you have more gas in your tank, your car will be faster.
