There are a few comments mocking Gary on the bag etc. Number 1 this was Gary much older. He would be 80 now if alive. 2. He wasn’t going full out on the bags etc 3. The best fighters in the world who trained, worked the door with him all verify him. A legend for sure.
Brilliant. Gary Spiers was deffo one hard man.
Hearing about this legend Gary Spiers and knowing that he was loved by the british makes me proud to be a new zealander especially part maori and european
There wasn't a gangster or hard man that wanted any piece of Gary he was just too good and out side of work he was a gentleman RIP warrior
I think the measure of Spiers isn’t just that Terry O’Neil & Denis Martin revered him , but even Stephen French , not exactly a modest fucker himself , admitted in his autobiography , “I couldn’t fight him , he’d have broken me to pieces”
100%
Gary was good but Terry was LEVELS above him on the street and in the dojo . Terry was levels above everyone 💯🤷🏽
Bob Jones corporation, Zen Do Kai. Very effective. Started my son when he was 10. Thank you Glenn from Australia
Gary spiers, thumbs up from me for Gary, Ben as always best wishes and regards Jay 👍

Cheers mate love researching him. Thanks for the material 👊
Good video mate and well read looking forward to part 2
You can see he loves it, dangerous. Did you ever see the movie " Once they were warriors" ?
Cracking film that watched it many years ago I think there is a part 2 they brought out
@@bobskunkhouse38 Thanks will have a look, love that hound by the way.
@bungledandbotched1771 thank you brother he's the best thing I've ever had seriously devoted and protective
Excellent content again
Great content your videos. Class
Much appreciated!
Always a bigger and better fish round the corner. The low profiled/quiet ones are mostly the toughest ones
Great work Ben, l read a book yrs back on Bob Jones (he and Gary trained together in Australia)....
Jones had worked as security for the Stones and other bands, his stories of a then young Spiers are prettty gd....
If anyone can remember the title of Bob Jones' book pls mention it, lm sure Ben wd enjoy it.
Thankyou mate I'm researching Bob Jones
@@enquirer2.0 Oh no worries mate! Right up your street Ben.
I used to train with a guy called Reg in Stockport who was ex SF.. (I think all ex SF line to call themselves Reg 😂) Nicest guy on the planet but with a death stare and fk me, the techniques he would employ in H2H combat were 👌🏼.. it was about ENDING the situation. Not scrapping or fighting. Spiers was a hard man.. but we all know someone who would wipe the floor with him given the opportunity.
This guy speaks as though he is Kane. Kung Foo The Legend Continues .... lol
Id love to hear more vids on john arthurs who used to fight death matches , he was supposed to be a very damgerous man at no hold bar fighting
A book about Spiers has to be done matt legg did a video how haku would do against the UK hardmen but couldn't pick a winner between haku and spiers i would of said Spiers he was to skilled and vicious he could very easy kill a man without self control he smashed a mans spine and beat a person after been stabbed in the face garry was a born warrior
gary spiers life would make a great film
Nice vid
Sensei Tino Ceberano
In that picture @ 0:32 seconds , is that Alfie Lewis left second one in??
If anyone can answer , cheers ........................
mr tua 😮
Respect to this man but fighting for me is getting gloved up and jumping in a boxing ring
How do you think he would of got on with LEE MURRAY
When and how did he die?
Compared to the average lad doing MMA this looks comical now .
That bag work . 😂😂😂. So slow open and off balance . It’s distressing to think people believe this nonsense
He looks terrible on the bag in this video.
Watched Gary fight in real life situations and he was a lot faster and effective than on the bag never show your enemies how good you are especially on film ?
He was way past his prime in this video .. trust me back in the day he could 💯do the Buisness on the street !!!
@@monitor4728 Agreed 👍👍
