  • Australia’s PM Anthony Albanese is taking on Elon Musk - and it’s sparked a huge censorship row.
    It all revolves around the stabbing of a bishop in Sydney two weeks ago - while the service was being streamed online.

    As an Australian I would just like to let everyone know, the majority of Australians are just as ashamed of our government as you would expect. We don't like the fact that they are setting up the conditions for an authoritarian government!

      @bigbowlowrong4694 Před měsícem +1

      Really? All three of the major political parties support moves to censor this content on Twitter, and they don’t seem to be getting much backlash for it. It’s one thing most people in Australia tend to agree on, which is exactly why the Prime Minister feels safe to say this.

    • @samroscoe944
      @samroscoe944 Před měsícem +2

      @@bigbowlowrong4694 I don't think that is necessarily the case. It seems like the majority of people I have spoken to about it and about the current circumstances all seem to agree it is a disgrace, but they have already implemented self censorship effective enough that people feel it is too risky to speak up. I'm lucky enough to be self employed and not have to worry about HR or anything like that.
