RIP Jeff Austin - I saw Jeff with Yonder or the Jeff Austin Band at least 20 times over the last 15 years or so. He did not have an off night. Not one time. Amazing performer. We are all very lucky to have seen him play.
I'm so glad I made it to this show, it almost didn't happen, tons of driving straight through day and night spending money I couldn't afford at the time and putting off some crazy things that came up I should have been dealing with. I have zero regrets. You never look back and smile about the times you did the responsible thing.
“A broken angel sings from his guitar “ Most beautiful Jeff your magnificent joyful soaring powerful music is forever playing in our hearts and souls You crushed it and broke our hearts doing it. Now we are all better off because of you. {♥️}:=}
This is a very good version of this song. These guys either sold their souls or are musical geniuses. I’ve seen them live about 15 times. I’m going to go with musical geniuses...I hope👁🤟🏽👆🏽👇🏽🖖🏾🤝. Uh oh!!
I love this video! I love to watch Jeff lift his leg and dance while he's playing and leading the whole band. They are all experiencing such joy and have probably just performed for hours and are still giving it their all! RIP Jeff Austin and the OG YMSB 1.0
This is a good performance and YMSB holds their own. Dave Johnston plays some nice textures, using descending melodic and chromatic licks tastefully and keeping the banjo rolling - no easy feat. It's in tune, it's in time, and it's tasty. And it grows on you with repeated listening. I wish the fiddle had been a bit louder, but that's not Darol Anger's fault. God bless them all for playing their hearts out. There's a lot to picking a banjo, never mind critics. Mighty fine! - Tom Hanway
great video. can only imagine what it was like for the guys in Yonder to be playing with billy and mickey. Like jeff says at the end; bucket list!!! #ihavenocomplaints
