Got this in the mail today. I can’t explain how beatiful it is.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a nice game that my kids love too. No "take that involved", but the timing on when to take herbs from the community garden is key. Nice job Rodney!
Thank you Alex!
This is my kinda game. Thanks for the schoolin' Rodinator!
Happy to assist :)
Great video Rodney! This seems like a really pleasant game. And it has a solo variant! I just might have to add this one to my wishlist...
Keith did a fantastic job with Solo play!
Thanks for checking it out and for the kind words!
Thank you for reviewing simpler games like this.
Glad you appreciate it! Thanks for checking out the video!
As with every video, amazing very well explained!
Thank you kindly Vitor!
This helped my sister and I right before our first play through!
Great to hear - I hope you had fun!
Loved this game worth every penny!
So glad you enjoyed!
I can imagine "Illegal Herbs" and "Fantasy Herbs" expansions.
This person knows how to make a game
;)
Not illegal in Colorado!
So, a brownie, instead of a biscuit...
And depending on where you live, they may not be so illegal anymore!
Great little filler. One of my group's favorites.
Thanks for putting this together -- and all your other videos. You showed me that we've been playing the glass jar incorrectly. We have been allowing only special (numbered) herbs into that jar and, for some unknown reason, also requiring no duplicates. But I just looked at the rule book again, and discovered that I either need new glasses or a longer attention span when reading.
Glad to see this video is helping even pro players. Playing the Glass Jar this way also always for some pretty aggressive thwarting of other players potting.
Don't feel back - we even missed a couple rules in this one our first time through, it happens :)
Great video, Rodney!!!!
Thanks Kipel!
I love the R man!!!
Great job!
Thank you!
When you speak of claiming some early at 4:25, is that because of the glass jar & points in the corner of the card?
Not only that, but just thinking of the example shown just prior to that in the video. I had some Saffron in my personal supply and there were some in the community Garden as well. If I had chosen not to claim those then, my opponent might have decided to take them - either because they also have Saffron in their Private Garden, or because they want to prevent me from claiming them for even more points.
Thanks. Great examples
? On your turn, must you draw first from the draw pile, or can you take a card from the community garden? ( and then draw a card from the top of the deck to put into the community garden)
It's been a little while since I shot this, but whichever I indicate in the video is the correct way (in other words, if I don't say that you can first draw from the community garden, then you can't). Hope that helps!
No you have to pot first (if you want), then draw
I am oping to get this game sometime soon from my local obby store. Opefully they’ll ave it in stock. I’d be so appy.
I wondered when someone would comment on this :) In some places the "h" is pronounced, in others it isn't - I figured whichever I did, I'd get a comment or two about it :)
Awesome!
Watch It Played lol. English is a strange language isn’t it? 😃
First Photosynthesis (disclaimer: don't know how to write that XD) and now this. I'm sensing a trend, here... maybe a trilogy, one more plant themed game?
Ha - good catch - I hadn't thought of that :) Are you proposing I do a Treelogy?
Well, I'll Leaf you to choose that.
(damn, making a wordplay when you aren't a native speaking is hard DX)
Nice wordplay :)
Because the rules specifies 'sets', does that mean you have to group like herbs in both gardens (meaning you can't break them up for smaller sets to use)?
I'm not sure I quite follow the question. When you pot, you pick one of the Containers, and then take any/all cards from your private and the public garden that will satisfy the requirements of that container, and then put them in that single container. On a future turn, you can create a new set, for a different container, if you like. Does that cover it?
Sorry, I interpreted the rules as you needed to group the herbs together in the garden when you plant the herbs and had to take whole sets when potting (e.g. you have 3 lavender, you couldn't use them for the pairs pot since the group is too large and can't leave the single behind). I see now that there is no such restriction.
Theme isn't my cup of tea but great tutorial as usual
Thanks Albert!
To pot, or not to pot...
First
;)
