You have great quiz videos, Sean! They're challenging yet fun! I learned a lot. Also has a Who Wants to be a Millionaire game show vibe, which is neat!
Incidentally the best translation of leedvermaak in English is schadenfreude. It is a direct borrowing from German except the German word starts with a capital letter because it is a noun. There are a few suggested single word translations into English but they do not mean quite the same.
Good morning Sean! Challenging quiz today! Great job putting this together! I managed 38/50; Answer to the Bonus is Schadenfreude. Thank-you & Have a wonderful day!😊🌼🌷🥀🐝
The Thomas Huxley quote at the beginning of Part 3 struck me as very good advice to achieving a balanced outlook "Try to learn something about everything and everything about something" You could apply the same principle to the people you meet too...."Try to learn something about everyone and everything about someone!"
Without consulting Google, I don't know the answer to the bonus question. As I prefer scoring a big goose egg rather than cheat, I'll leave it blank this time around. My overall score on this great Detormentis quiz: 43/50. Thanks, Sean! ☺️
Another great quiz. Another easy quiz as it is multiple choice. Missed 2. Got all the picture ones which is rare for me. If not multiple choice I would have got about 40.
29 again, guess I like being in the cleverness category, LOL. Fun quiz, especially when you laughed at yourself for pronouncing some of those funny names. Or were you trying to throw me off track?
48/50 for Team Harlow on this rain soaked Tuesday with a few correct guesses. Bonus is ( excuse the spelling ) schadenfreude. Thank you for the load up Sean. Have a good week 😊.
Do not confuse the name of the movie with the name of the book. The book is called "The Bridge over the River Kwai". The movie is called "The Bridge on the River Kwai".
Hey Sean, love your trivia. So please don't take this as I'm asking for special treatment, but the fact of the matter is that I am blind and have limited resources for entertainment, ie. my phone. So maybe if you could start the timer when you're actually finished reading the questions would be good. As it stands now, by the time you finish reading the question there's 2 seconds left on the timer. And being blind and all, I can't see the choice of answers so when you mispronounce the answers so badly... wow, what am I to do. Please try to do better 🙏.
You have great quiz videos, Sean! They're challenging yet fun! I learned a lot. Also has a Who Wants to be a Millionaire game show vibe, which is neat!
