Every student need to earn some money in addition to GIC to survive.
Canada has devalued being a citizen in many ways. It should be like other countries where work visa is simple but it is limited for non residents.

I observed the students that you interviewed lack the class and level to get a job. They must have secured admission by clearing basic IELTS score and paying fees. Students from the metro cities and from good english background have no problem in getting jobs.

If they are here for a job then their purpose is not education but to remain here. In US international students aren't allowed to work. US government say study and go back or apply if any company hire you after you are done your education. And it is a good law not to allow international students to work. But rest of the countries where these guys go for study allow them to work which is a help for them. And for this reason these guys are more focused on the job than their education.
Who said you that international students aren't allowed to work in USA?? You can work in USA. There is no such thing that international students are not allowed to work.. If they aren't allowed to work then how will international students pay their fees. Its a common sense bro

And common sense is when you go for the study in another country then you should have money to spend for your education not to go there and work and make money for your education. And another common sense is you can't pay your university fee with 20 hours work per week and especially if you are getting paid minimum wage. And If you work 40 hours per week then your purpose is not study but PR and still you can't pay your fee living expenses. And the best is to focus on your studies and graduate and then look for work in your field.

@@FURIOUS_CLOWN283 yes, but to get SSN is not very easy and you have to go through process. US has very strict rules for international students to work off campus. Yes cash is something different but if you get caught for violation of your student visa then not good.

Canada just wants the students money. Only 28% of students end up receiving PR in Canada. The rest end up having to go home after their work permit expires because the country never gave them PR. IRCC just screws them over.

I can tell you that there's a lot of stress in canada and brampton is central to all Indians. Don't blame them for their anger issues it's only frustration.

Well lately the wealth gap is only increasing and upward mobility is limited. You see the glamor of the old settled population have a large home, cars, etc. Now houses are around $1m and cars are barely affordable. Its gonna frustrate people.

Canada govt is not sitting to serve the students they are generating revenue from the students in billion dollars but canadian govt is not keen to cater the situation.
Now the rents are too high as the accommodation is limited and no of students is increasing in every intake .
So situation is not good in Brampton or GTA region but students don't want to go in thunderbay Alberta or Calgary
Eventually the future students have to go there.

I came to Canada to get da education and find a wife.. Now i have finally gotten my engineering degree after 3 yrs and 100k. I am currently engineering hamburger at Burger King and i make 15.50 an hr.. but i only get 25 hr of work per week. I live in a house with 8 other people who are also students and it smells really bad in there.. Our toilet is broken and we have to use the bath tub to go to washroom. I can't find a girlfriend either cause the white girls are all really fat and some are even gay! I am frustrated!
