Everyone wants the green Beret and look all Ali but if you not willing to be running outside during winter and rainy days ... the Royal Marines is not for you
ali?
@@SamiKhan-ri4vm Think he means ally
In soviet Russia, green beret wants you
@@spday9909 thanks mate yeah “ Ally “
Ali, like Muhammad Ali? 🤨
I love the marines going to be one soon!
All the best to you bro 💯
Prepare yourself. Good luck.
I still got a while I’m trying to be an officer and I’m going to take a sword into battle because as mad jack Churchill once said “any officer that goes into battle without his sword is improperly dressed”
Good luck
@@Jehdjdjhf alright big time!
Legend has it that the face coverings are just to avoid getting crated for epic posing ...
1 year 5 months and I can join up, can’t wait to try and get in.
How’s ur fitness ?

You guys rock! 😎👍💪
Anyways im glad that we are still allies and friends. Well done
Can’t wait.
Top lads
I wish the Army was as good at making inspirational videos as you guys
They can't becuse they arnt as good haha.
wish I could join but gotta wait 4 years on medical grounds so im hopefully going to be joining the army next year instead
Love from India
My Uncle was stationed in the foot hills bordering Cambodia. I here that was a bad area to be.
The best.
Great image being portrayed in these videos. Commando first and foremost. First to establish the commandos in world war 2 so it’s good to see Britain reclaiming the brand name in line with others around globe who have been taking commando activity and special operations very seriously.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Looking to join at 18!
Ye man
At 26 it’s now time to sign up ✍️
LOOK AT THAT LIKE TO DISLIKE RATIO, MARINES, YOU’VE DONE IT AGAIN!!
Epic video, and..
Yey! L85!
Gone soon mate, been replaced with the c8 carbine
If it wasn't for capita i would be a marine now
I'm pretty sure it's not Capitas fault, they are 💩 but thousands of people get through the recruitment process.
@@JammyDodger45 you are right haha, but they have no concept of individual case leniency. If you tick the box its yay or nay end of story
@@gregorymacdonald4620 - from my pov Capita only apply the standards the MoD set ... but they do it so badly!
I tried to join the Para Reg Reserves 4 years after I'd finished an 18yr career in the RM and they told me 'no' as I was physically unfit due to an ankle injury i'd had ... getting blown up in Iraq!
I had to appeal and show them the endurance events I'd done in the previous 3 years (Spine Race, Dragons Back, Mont Blanc Marathon) before they'd relent!
Keep fighting them until the bitter end buddy!
@@JammyDodger45 my sentiments exactly
@SuperVHSchannel - it's so bad is almost criminal given how understaffed so many aspects of the military are.
You get to the point where people just lie on their forms and at interview etc.
Hopefully Crapita will be gone sooner rather than later!
Damn, are those C8's that were being trialed also!? New uniforms AND new personal weapons? 😲🙏
Soon I will become a royal marines
will all the marines receive the plate carrier or only certain units?
@Lionel Rich Tea He means the new plate carrier they're wearing in the video.
This February i am going to enlist into the Marines, i can’t wait to start the journey!
Good luck to you mate, I have to wait another 2 years unfortunately
@@adamhashi9673 why’s that?
@@Harvey-dg3ry I’m only 16, and I would try to join now but my parents won’t let me
@@adamhashi9673 well at least things should be easier with COVID by then
@@Harvey-dg3ry yeah hopefully
Well is being a cadet a good place to start ?
Yes and id suggest if you are young study a language ie Arabic (the basics)
I’m either gonna join the marines or go do an apprenticeship at a college for engineering idm which one to do lol
Do both. Do your apprenticeship then join the rm.
I heard tattoos are now accepted in marines..Is it true? I check their official sites that tattoos on hand and neck are acceptable as long as they r not abusive or violent..is this information correct?
Yes.
I hope to get in 9 months time but i will have to travel all the way from Scotland north to the south of England
Don't worry, you won't have to walk to CTC.
Have you heard of these things called trains?
@@JammyDodger45 are you a marine
@@adamquinn3197 - I'm a former Royal Marine, I left a few years ago after an 18yr career.
@@JammyDodger45 Thanks for your service hoping to join if you don't mind me asking did you ever go to Afghanistan
@@adamquinn3197 - yes.
It's amazing country, full of fantastic people but ruined by drugs and religion.
The Afghan people deserve much more.
I also love marines, but i have a question why Royal marines use m4a1 carbine with such a small barrel.
It's the Colt C8 Canada I believe and is currently being used by parts of the Royal Marines with the intention of becoming the primary weapon for all Royal Marines as far as I know.
I suspect that they are changing around a lot of their load outs based on the operating theatres of the Royal Marine are currently having to fight in. nowadays they are perhaps serving in their more traditional role which has been Naval and Amphibious, having a regular barrel length proves cumbersome for their current fighting dynamics so CQB and raiding vessels as such using Shorties are more effective with mobility when acquiring a target and fighting in those conditions. nevertheless they do use variants such as free floating barrels and RIS systems such as mk18s as an example. i’m merely speculating on whether they are multi adaptive with their load outs.
@@l3gionmusic814 They have about 6 and like to push them toward the cameras, same for the ops core helmets
The Army Rangers trained alongside the British Commandos, and the training course in Britain. In the 1940s getting prepared for Normandy Invasion. My Uncle was in the Army Rangers, served in Vietnam.
The Army Rangers also hold the record in afganistan.
Have our Marines stopped using the SA80 rifle?
Not completely.
Do people from all background join ?
Laptop password @1:00, rest assured that 'anduril1' and a million variations of it has likely made it into every peer Nation's password cracking dictionaries by now
I love our armed forces but please for the love of god stop adding epic violin solo to every video
No
Ok.
They seem to like their C-clamp grip
I think its because you Couldn't do that with an SA80 ( but yeah ive noticed the same )
@@serioussmoke1123 You can C clamp the SA80, wouldn’t recommend without gloves because you’re hand will be on the gas block but it’s doable
Why do some of the Marines in the vid hold their rifle with their thumb so far over the top of the barrel? It looks rather awkward. Is it the way they're taught or just a personal thing.
They have mounted flash lights and laser sights, having their thumb far up allows them to turn it off and on easily
@@co0lbeans692 cheers. Not being a shooter/military I couldn't figure it out.
@@Calum_S I'm neither of those haha
I've just seen videos about gear that they use so I know a little bit about it
on top of the laser and add on systems, that method of hold is also called a "C-grip", "C clamp grip" (search on CZcams), it makes quick movement of the rifle from targets easier/faster.
joining next year gents
Why wait until next year?
It's currently taking 9 months to get in so figure that into your planning.
@@JammyDodger45 because the navy dont employ 15 year olds
@@DropShopCentral - 🤔 I'm of the opinion the RM shouldn't take 16yr olds either.
@@JammyDodger45 well they allow you to ask for an application 15 years and 7 months into your life, training begins whenever they say so I agree 100%
@@DropShopCentral - I spent 18yrs in the Corps (including a stint as an Instructor at CTCRM) and junior Recruits have a much lower pass rate than over 18s.
I'm not trying to advise you here, after all I know nothing about you, but the Corps isn't set up to allow lads to do their maturing, either physical or emotional.
We don't have an equivalent to the Army Foundation College so you'll be in with all the rest of the lads and that's like being a goldfish in a shark tank!
The Royal Marines need to lend some of their PR skills to the Army
It's pretty simple you pay a good pr company.
How do they have so little subscribers
Apart of me want to still join the marines. But I also wanna be a para
If you join the Corps everyone with the same colour beret as you will have gone through the same as you to get it.
If you join the Paras there are hundreds of scrotes walking around in the cherry beret who've never been anywhere near P Coy.
It's no competition.
@@JammyDodger45 how did they get in then? I assumed everyone did pre para
@@josephporcheron195 - everyone in the Para Reg has passed P-Coy however the maroon beret is the headdress of 16 Airborne Assault Brigade and huge swathes of them are Combat Service Support troops who'll never go near P-Coy let alone pass it ... but they're all rocking the exact same 'cherry berry' as the Veg lads.
That would Fu
@@JammyDodger45 no cause they don’t get their wings, so although they may have a maroon beret, they don’t have a set of wings meaning nothing.
And if you want to do both, why not join the royal engineers where you can do both. You can do 24 commando, recce party then you get your wings.
Is the royal marine uk and US or us US just called marines
No alot of countries have marine corps
Royal Marine Commandos are a British force.
But you with also find Marine forces in Holland, France, Portugal, Greece, Russia, Philippine, USA and many others.
The Royal Marines are clearly the best though. 😁
@@JammyDodger45 Recon Marines are better 👍 There is also force recon which is for experienced recon marines.
@@thegreatdogzilla5855 - I'm well acquainted with USMC, but unfortunately for you Recon Marines aren't much better than the standard Grunt and given the tiny number of USMC that are genuinely Riflemen that still only puts them at close to RMC level.
If you'd said MARSOC you'd have had a case but you didn't.
@@JammyDodger45 It's very clear you don't know anything about recon marines. Also Raiders are Special forces who are a mix of Army SF and SEALs royals don't match.
The entire army dying to also get new uniform like
@Lionel Rich Tea If you have to buy anything crye precision, mystery ranch etc, you don't need any of that stuff. If you're operator enough to need it, you'll get it issued lol.
@Lionel Rich Tea - which cap badge are you fella?
I've seen you make a couple of digs at RAF Regt, did one of them piss on your chips?
@Lionel Rich Tea - come on now, everyone knows that the story about them shooting their Osprey was just that ... a story.
And I still don't get why that would upset a Scots Guard, it's not like you'd have been anywhere near them? Although you did, of course, fly in and out of airbases protected by them and clearly you survived so they must have been doing something right 🤷🏻♂️.
I mean it's not like the Bastion AOR was the same size as the town of Reading. Oh hold on, it was.
Oh well it's not as though a RAF Regt Sqn is only a Company + in strength. Oh hold on, it is.
It's a good job they weren't protecting it 24/7 then. Oh silly me, they were.
Sounds like they aren't so bad after all then!
God bless all of the us Military please amen 🙏🙏🙏🇰🇭🇺🇸🏆🏆🏆
Eh?
Marines do highlights now?
What is life
..... Why be a lion when you can be a fucking bear !! #dominatethefield
Good bye SA80 ...
Guys how can you be a doctor in the military?
You need to go to university to be a doctor first (but you might be able to get the miltary to pay for it)
Yes you can.
@@joehodson1666 so I have to pay??
@@user-zq4rx9sn3e - that depends on where in the world you are.
If you're American then Med School will cost you a high 6 figure sum, if you're Cuban it's free.
🤷🏻♂️
@@JammyDodger45 if you are from Europe
Because Russia can handle the cold. Having trench foot isn't my cup of tea
What's with the NODs and M4? Are they trying to recruit the CoD Warzone demographic lmao?
Given the fact that it’s what they use to begin with and it’s all standard issue... yeah seems bout right can’t wait to be saved by some guy parachuting with a Russian weapon with American attachments with a African uniform
