It's pretty fitting too that the most prolific passing season in NFL history would be followed by one of the deepest QB drafts in NFL history. Luck, RGIII, Tannehill, Russ, Captain Kirk, Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles, Brock Osweiler, and even Case Keenum as an undrafted free agent.

We're getting to the point where 4,000 yards and 35+ touchdowns is *expected* out of a lot of the league. @thecensoredmuscle563 Před 2 lety

@@finchborat he played like 5 games in 2010 so I'm talking about seasons where he played most of the season lol. That should have obvious.
And yes he did have winning records every year besides the years his team were statistically worse than the 0-16 browns and 0-16 detroit. I mean he went 8-7, 8-8, and 8-7 in years with the third worse defense in nfl history, worst run games for cowboys since the 1960, injury prone receivers, and a garbage oline. Just the fact that he was able to win 8 games and put up great stats with that. Is freakishly amazing.
And what do you mean he could not win week 17? Every single week 17 that was needed to be in playoffs he played in or at least played healthy in he won. 06 made playoffs, 07 made playoffs (only played like a quarter or 2 without starters week 17), 08 had a broken throwing hand, 09 beat 11-4 eagles week 17 in a must win then beat them the next week in wild card, out 2010, 2011 had to throw with a softball sized throwing hand that was injured and knocked him out of the week 16 game at the start of the 1st. still played solid though, but defense was trash, 2012 broke multiple ribs in that week 16 shootout so he was playing pretty injured week 17, 2013 did not play week 17 but did play week 16 and with a back he injured in the 4th that needed surgery, he finished the game drove down and threw the game winning td to keep playoffs for cowboys alive. 2014 he had one of the greatest December's of all time for a qb. And that's it.
Also he actually did have comeback win in playoffs, even in a playoff game getting sacked 6 times and still came back with the game winning td. That same season of course the refs had to prevent Romo from going to the nfc championship. That had to keep that narrative that dummys like you eat up.
Also his playoff stats are solid even though his receivers dropped many big plays and tds in playoffs.

Tom Brady had horrible defenses and no-name receivers at times and he still found a way to make deep playoff runs. He had no weapons in '06 and 2013 and made it to the AFC Title Game, almost winning the '06 title game at the end. In 2011, the Patriots had the worst defense in football and the GOAT guided them to a Super Bowl appearance. The o-line was abused in the 2015 AFC title game and the GOAT was a 2-pt conversion away from Super Bowl 50. He had that cut on his hand in the playoffs and he made Super Bowl 52. He threw for 500 yards in that Super Bowl and had a shot to win at the end despite no Edelman and losing Cooks early in the game.
