I’m not a jcole stan lol I just have empathy. Kendrick is my goat not Cole at all - but what happened was that Kendrick didn’t really diss Cole and then Cole felt pressure from the internet to diss Kendrick and then he said some shit that he didn’t even believe himself. People say Cole has to prove that he's the better rapper in a diss, which is kind of strange because these people obviously only need one song to decide who raps better, which is doubly strange because there are a lot of songs you could listen to to answer this question. The real reason people want Cole to diss is because they want to be entertained. They want to see a hero die. They want to judge. The want "blood". And for him, the relationship and respect for Kendrick's art ultimately isn't worth it.
