Guys, if you are still somewhere near Opole, you must go to Moszna to see the castle. About 30 minutes away from Opole. Cheers.

Nysa Otmuchów tam też zamek, jezioro z widokiem na góry... Go to Otmuchów there is castle and lake that have view on mountains. Nysa have also castle and there are knight battles there sometimes

AND, damn, that food. The *"pannycakes''* ( what my Polish grandma calls pancakes) looked scrumptious, the lody🍦looked phenomenal and the Pierogi were as big as a baby's head!! Unbelievable!!

Opole was always famous of music festives gathering the elite of polish singers and groups every year in June if l remember well. Perla beer 🍺 is fantastic. Available also in the UK 🇬🇧. Opole, had to google that one. Quite a big drive! Have never seen pancakes like that! I like bleu cheese pear currants! Cheese and garlic dill and mushrooms sounds good too. Looks like a nice place!
The highway from Katowice to Opole is only an hour's drive away. When I studied there, I sometimes ate in Grabówka. Opole is a bit sleepy city. Near the city is the Moszna Palace. Looks like Disney property. Castles and palaces are a real hidden gem of Poland, especially in Silesia. The density of castles and palaces is higher than in the Loire Valley.

There are many similar (in a way) cities in Poland. Poznań, Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Toruń, Olsztyn and many many many more. Even some smaller one like Kazimierz Dolny. Simply beautiful.

I had yesterday 1 or 2 :) Pink Floyd concerns "Wish you were here" :) The fact is: best beer in the world are in Belgium and Czechia, now small local breweries are catching quality in Poland! I've seen few of your vlogs from Poland, and I was just scrolling through my recomended videos and that video came up! I was born in Opole and lived there until I was 11, still go back every year or so. The very first think that I would recommend for food would be that pancake place! Also where the big pond is with a fountains, the nice looking building in the background, it's amazing restaurant called "piramida" (pyramid), it's so cheap and the potions are amazing! It's very posh restaurant with amazing food!
If you still there I would recommend going to "Wyspa Bolko", or restaurant/pub called Zebra, its 30min walk from the city Hall or 5min on bus (number 3)
Also you should visit towns in South Poland called Częstochowa, Busko-Zdrój, and maybe Kluczbork!

Opole is my city!!! Im so happy you liked it because I like it too, its way more relaxed and less busy than Wrocław or Cracow, and it offers the same or better quality of services for better price. Ofcourse its relatively small (128 k citizens vs.680 k in Wrocław) but the great thing about this town is that it offers everything you want from the city (incl. great clubs at night,
24/7 gyms,
theater, high education, job opportunities etc), and you can walk/ bike everythere, no need to be annoyed with traffic. If you come again you migh want to see
Museum of the Opole Village and
Museum of Opole Silesia. I ve been in both and theyre quite interesting

You should try Zloty Stok ( it means Golden Slope- literaly there is gold mine you can enter ) and Otmuchow on the way where you can sleep in renesance castle ( there is hotel ) . It's about 60-70 km from Opole. Cheers!

In Opole, I studied opposite Grabówka. There is a Polish song festival on the island in June. Besides this event, the city is a little sleepy. 50 meters from the Market Square is Copernicus Square. At this square is the headquarters of the University with a charming park and shopping centre. I would forget - there is an archaeological site on the island. I didn't expect you to be in this city.

oh, there r 2 awesome spots in 30min Opole distance: Zamek MOSZNA+Iron Sculpture Gallery (same place) and the one u'v passed doing highway: PLAWNIOWICE Palace.
Not to mention - city's ZOO and park island with it. Just a walk right from yours hotel - by the canal not to the right (pancakes direction) but to the left. At the end theres chill-club spot "LABA". Googledirect it if you r still in the town.

Krakow wasn't rebuild, the nazi Germas fled in panic as the red army was close to the city so Krakòw miraculously remained untouched
There were plans to set explosives thru out the city and blow it up, but the commander didn't go with it and just retreat. Was was truly miraculous was that the red army didn't devastated the city themselves, like they did with many towns in the west.
@@Diveyl "but the commander didn't go with it " because Polish Undergraund was able to cut the cables and defuse them, but hey without this small detail it looks like it was German decision so... nice try Lukas. ;)

Try some castels around thay so beautiful. You can check Boleslawiec town is famous for pottery and is really nice place for seightseeing.And if you got time you can go to Torun and Kazimierz Dolny you will be not disappointed of this places.

Yeah, there seems to be an explosion of ice cream shops all over Poland in the last few years lol and the quality of ice cream is pretty good usually.

7:07 - you're drinking a common "industry" (not bad) beer, but it's worth to try beers from the small local breweries. they're suprisingly (very) good. I don't know the Opole area, but I'm sure they have something special there. A tip: they sell very tasty local beers in the IC trains!

Hi Guys, nice to see you enjoy Poland. Little tip for you, polish people love being recognised by foreigners. The more videos you do about Poland the more subscribers you will get :P. I don't think this is the case in any other country to that degree.
