Description:
In this video tutorial learn how to make my protective leather glasses case and decorative border design. In this video I used all vegetable tanned leathers and basic leather crafting tools, such as a cutting board, punch board, mallet, stitching chisels, stitching horse, harness needles, linen thread, stitch groover, wood burnisher, a button stud, Feibings tan antique dye, & ecoflo professional medium brown water stain. For the stamps, I used the following stamps by Barry King: (Geometrics: 6 hole filler Size 1 & Border: Lined Petal Size 1). This is just the border I decided to work with, but there are many border stamps that could be used to produce similar results. Before you start stamping on your cut leather pieces I always recommend for you to 1st test your stamp design on a piece of scrap leather to make sure it looks the way you want and the stamps are spaced correctly.

Hey great seeing you here! Awesome work you are doing as always!
Glad to see a new video!
Have you finished your move back to Taiwan?
Yes, I have. Happy to have my studio up and running again!😊
@@FischerWorkshopsTaiwan Are you in Taipei or Yilan now?
Would love to make a trip up!
@@SquishyIsBack Hi, I'm in Yilan/Luodong. Welcome to visit anytime!😊
Hi what’s the name of that hole punch you used at 4:44, what size is it and where can I get it from?
It's a button hole punch. It adds a line to the hole to open it up for the button to pass through. You can also just punch a hole and cut the line with a knife as well
Fischer Workshops thanks.
Where do you get harness needles and linen thread from?
And is it waxed thread?
You can buy harness needless easily online through a variety of suppliers and the thread as well. Tandy sells linen thread and Amazon as well. I add wax myself.
Fischer Workshops thanks.
