Hey Jeremy. I understand the desperation you are feeling due to limited treatment options being available. It nags at me everyday.

Try to stay positive Jeremy. PWP had some great news this week with Congress passing the National Act to End Parkinson’s. Means more resources to finding better treatments and hopefully a cure. As for Maggie try a 25 foot retractable leash in the backyard. I had a dog that wanted her space too, and it worked well.

Thx! Our yard has a lot of things to get tangled in and Maggie is as dumb as a sack of hammers.😂 We will figure out this wireless nonsense. Till then, she’s on our shaded deck.

I know others have said it also, but if it's any comfort, your channel helps a lot of folks -- very relatable as we navigate the journey. Just started by second official year w/ PD - still hanging in there w/ work, but on the bad days people around me (even those who know about my Dx) have no idea what I'm pushing through. They expect me to be "on" all the time. Tough sometimes; thanks for sharing your experiences; makes the journey a little easier.

Keep your head up Jeremy, we all have up and down days. I always tell myself that I have less problems than some other folks do. Exercise always makes me feel better. Unfortunately I tore my Achilles 12 weeks ago and haven’t been able to exercise until 2 weeks ago. Small steps at a time.. I chose DBS because I figured it would give me the best chance to feel better. Everyone has to do what’s best for them. 👍

It’s hard enough not being able to drive since I voluntarily quit driving. I feel like my freedom has been robbed. If my neurologist ever writes to my state to request my license be taken I would mentally be messed up. I’m not driving anyway but it’s a “mind thing” to me. I guess I should look at as it’s for everyone’s safety on the road including my own as well as other families and children . Just a tough subject for this old Veteran 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@@JeremyMcdonald THE WEIGHT OF THAT AX MADE LONG SETS TOLERABLE. STRATS AND SGs ARE ALMOST WEIGHTLESS WHEN COMPARED TO A PRS. MY PLAYING DAYS ARE OVER FOR A NUMBER OF REASONS. @@JeremyMcdonald I played a Gibson 12 string for years. The neck was thick and I developed carpal tunnel, had surgery, and could no longer handle the Gibson due to pain. So, for 20 years I played only 6 strings. Then, in 2002, I visited a music store and it had a display of Taylor guitars. I picked one up and fell in love. The neck was perfect, the tone incomparable.
One day 1n 2017 I sat down and started writing a song for my estranged children. The cords and words were written in 15 minutes. I asked my wife to record me playing- it's the only video I have of myself playing. I was pretty sick at the time. I lost 20 lbs. during that "bout" and still haven't gained it back.
An accident took the fingers on my right hand shortly thereafter. czcams.com/video/P4XnV3bDXE8/video.html
