GR8... as usual! Routine is also important... I teach "bedtime ritual." Establish a bedtime habit & stick to it! I make a cup of chamomile tea, brush my teeth, etc, at the same time, every night (also rise, the same time... don't even need an alarm). My body has learned... sleep time is coming. It took me about 2yrs... but i've NEVER felt better! Primarily vegetarian, except for salmon 2 or 3 times a week... rare complex carb (like bread ~NEVER white!)... i've lost >200lbs & have kept it off over a year!
All thanks to no nonsense, educational videos, like YOURS! Thank you & Blessings to you & yours!

Lavender gives me a headache....so It definitely isn't a relaxing scent for me ! (smiling) Bouncing on a rebounder for just a few minutes right before bed is amazing...it really helps …...liken it to a baby who is fussing. What do you do? Pick them up, hold them & bounce ! Often settles them . Also helps to keep paper & pen by bed....if you can't stop thinking, write it down....that way you can let it go.

To recommend these oils to a student during an exam session.

Have you tried essential oils? Here he suggested lavender, which is good. Dr. Axe has other videos on essential oils for sleep. Others for anxiety. I make a blend of several he suggested. I apply a few drops to the bottom of my feet and behind my ears on the neck. I keep the bottle by my bed and reapply if I wake and can't get back to sleep. I am working on staying asleep. Every one is made up differently and we must find what works for us. It can be so frustrating. He gives great advice. I find it certainly isn't a 'quick fix'. Trying to build a healthy me MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT. May you find peace.
