In 2013, I started my solo travel journey, leaving Indonesia in 2016 to become a full-time traveler and CZcams creator. My background in International Relations has fueled a profound interest in exploring different countries. My content focuses on exploring different cultures through the lens of a solo female traveler, aiming to capture real-life interactions and experiences.
My travels kicked off with a five-month trip across Asia, after which I moved to China in January 2017 to work as an English teacher-my first time living abroad. I left China in 2018 to fully commit to creating videos on CZcams, where I share my travels and the cultures I encounter.
Living nomadically since 2016, I settled in England in early 2022 after marrying my British husband, David. Now based in the UK, I continue to travel and share my adventures on CZcams.

I'm really sorry as a Sri Lankan about those Tuk drivers who became a nuisance. It's a common problem in South Asian countries where poverty is a big problem. Everyone is just trying to make a living. But the way you handled them was really impressive and I think lot of solo female travelers would look and learn from you. Sorry again for the experience you had to go through.

Simsa because it doesn’t require any skills or training anyone can be a tuk tuk driver and its not regulated. Hence they can charge what ever they want. I recommend take meter taxi with meter on ( you can ask driver ) this cuts unnecessary over charge... Yes Srilanka need better taxi service than this.

@@anjali120 I didnt act all privileged, the last guy was actually the one who approached me off the camera asking me here and there, only to figure out that he was trying to sell his service. It's okay to sell a service and understandable but he was being a bit pushy too, this was off the camera hence you didn't know. Plenty of things happened behind the scene when you vlog on the street.

Jaffna) or how patient you are with locals, how you had a bad experience in India (broke my heart)...but in your footage, the auto driver was very proper and quoted the right price. I love how you operate. I'm afraid I wouldn't have your ability to stand for up for myself like you do. I would get angry and be much more afraid than you seem to be. Big guys blocking your path is very abusive and bordering on stalking or threatening harm if you don't take their offers. Of course people are hungry.
