@17:36, you've gotta finish the verse. Jesus said to take the sword so they would be numbered with the transgressors, as the prophecy stated.
Evil shall drive out evil, "we do not fight with weapons of this world", 2 Corinthians 10:4.
If you find yourself absolutely compelled to pick up a gun and fight, that is evidence of where your heart is.
Romans 13, "be subject to the governing authorities"
I say all of this who would, under the guise of a governing authority (like the colonialists did under Washington and State militias), oppose tyranny; but we have to be honest with Scripture and God's Word.
God's children are Sheep, not Sheep Dogs. God uses Sheep dogs to protect His Sheep, but they are not His Sheep.
God directs the steps of every man: Proverbs 16:9.
God protects His Sheep, and God bless His Sheep dogs.
