From 2nd Series. Originally aired in 1993. (Probably the first british show made by Sky at the time). Featured here is a Friday "Beat the elite" special where the champion of the week goes up against the "meanest, toughest and roughest" players in The world (The Videators) - Zábava
I used to watch this as a 14 year old when satellite channels were mostly free. Bob Mills seemed like an old man to me then. What's weird is that I am now nearly as old as Bob is here, and I am still playing video games and watching shows like this. I'm still the kid. What have I done for the last 20 years?
Wow!! Can't believe this was first shown 20yrs ago? I loved this series so much I want to cry as it was about this time I got a Sega Megadrive off my Mam & late Dad who couldn't really afford it but still got it as an Xmas surprise. This program brings so much joy and has brought so many great memories flooding back. :)

I built the 3D train graphics for the title sequence for this TV show ...
it looked terrible xD but hey, it was 90s, you are forgiven for you did what you could with what you where given, i spent plenty of time making similar stuff haha
shaun jones the train was in 3DS 2 or 3, the mario sitting down was Ligthwave (had better chrome rendering) and as it was PAL res and 25 frames a sec it caned the graphics rendering time to hours a frame on a Pentium 90, a day for just one second of video , later composed, genlocking and all that shizzle with the live footage.
There was also a tv quiz called mums the word we did gfx for, cutlery and all so of flying about stuff and later involved in judge dread the movie (stanlone) megacity corp logos and junk graphics you see on screen about the place...

My god I was 10 years old when this came out... I almost forgot about it. So many memories brings a tear to my eye. Just looking at the games featured on here makes me realize how much gaming has changed.

This and Gamesmaster were it for me during the 90's :) that plus Head to Head which used to be on Trouble :)

1:00 Games World was classier here with how the crowds applauded, rather than cheering.
Really shows how history is moving so fast. Imagine showing a kid today, who watches streamers all day, this primitive show and tell them that people would actually sit down to watch it on tv.

Does anyone have the whole series of house of games from series one of games world i have some on vhs, but would like the whole series, games world was a superb show, that ran for 3 years, despite videogames popularity now, threre are hardly any tv shows.
Omg...this is sky, a part of the british sky broadcasting network sounded so sweet to me as a kid. Almost as good as the odd time we'd get sky movies free and the censor guy would pipe up. Happy times.
Ha ha, I remember the Games Messiah. :) I'm sure in the first series they used to try and only film him from the waist up and Tim used to say he was gliding across the floor with no foot movement whatsoever, psml.

Still own my eliminator jacket till this day. I made the final in series 1 got 108 points was top of the leader board and got knocked down 2 spots by the end of the series. Im Eddie Dacosta first contestant to have a videator fired when I demolished the ninja 2 perfects in street fighter2 on beat the elite.
