Sir I have applied for new passport, after attending passport office in April-2023 and police verification done on next to next day, thereafter nothing done. After making enquiry online I comes to know that my application is under review at RPO office .After attending RPO office in Jun-2023, they said that your police verification report is pending therefore we cant process your application. Then I contacted local police office, they said your report is pending at CID branch due to computer connectivity problem. They told me come within 4days with full of pocket and will clear your matter accordingly.

Police asked my father Birth certificate who born in 1958, myself applicant with DOB 1988. Thet keep asking everybody birth certificate, don't they know updated passport rules 1980, 2016. RPO and Police both are equally good for harassing common people.
