Brilliant video. Yesterday I was flying my Air 2 in a couple of valleys next to Snowdon Mountain ( North Wales) , it was very windy, the Air 2 coped very well in the wind. I would imagine the Air 3 would do even better. A video of your drone flying in the mountains would be interesting, using a second drone to film your flight path. Or someone on a Paraglider perhaps with a gopro, ( video idea).
That could be cool. Have to get someone to help with that.

Neat video dude 👍 Personally i don’t put a lot of value in DJI’s limitations as I flew a Mini 2 above 5200m at rainbow mountain in Peru a couple of years back, without any issues.
I did a video with the mini 2 and it worked great high altitude. The mini one a totally different story. Ha ha I Videos of both somewhere on the channel.

Great content and i received my Air3. I’ve taken it out a lot. About to take it out as I type this. Keep up the content and I notice I have all the gear you have minus the GoPro. Was thinking of getting the DJI one instead. But happy flying!
The 11 is nicer over all than the action 4 so keep that in mind. The 12 will be released next month.

Hi Sean, I was wondering if you could tell me if in this latest firmware update for the Air 3, do we still have the ability to fly to 3280 ft above launch point in the US. I live in mountain country like you and really like this feature. I’d like to get this new firmware update but not at the expense of losing 1000 meter elevation. Thanks.
I did the update yesterday, but I didn’t check to see if I could still get the height that we need for the mountains. I sure hope so. I’ll have to check tomorrow.

How about now? I heard ALL DJI drones are now software locked to 120m, period. After 2024.
Which makes it almost kinda pointless to even get them.
The whole home-point thing is so dumb too because you cna climb a mountain and fly at 2km in the air, but you cant start at ground level and follow a slope up 200m.
Would be nice if you could make a tutorial video how to land the Air 3 in your hand in windy conditions.

First series Mavic Pro and Air 2S at 17500ft and 19,000ft respectively. No issues apart from 3/4 flight time than what I get at sea level.

Mavics and even mini’s who dji claims to not fly at those heights and the only one who ever had an issue was the first mini.
@@SeanOzz Yes, I see lots of people flying their Mini 3 pro in Ladakh, India. Where the avg altitude is above 3500m and on mountain passes crossing above 4500-5900m

Just seeing your channel for the first time & I'm relatively new to drones. We have a cabin in Drake, CO at the top of Storm Mountain and I plan to take my Mavic Air to the cabin in a few weeks. After seeing this video, there shouldn't be any issues with altitude. Do you agree? Thanks!

@@SeanOzz I'll definitely watch it. I use to almost only watch Motovlog videos before I got into Drones. Loved them.. Especially the CZcamsrs Cycle Cruza and Motonosity. But great bike.. I might still get back into bikes.. Living in Portugal now is much safer than SA.

10:17 I think bypass still works in RTH even if set to brake in Settings, same for Active Track
That’s pretty cool if so. I might have to figure out a way to test it.
@@SeanOzzTested it today with my air 3, obstacle avoidance is always on in RTH even if turned off in settings (you can see the obstacle avoidance symbol turn white) and bypass also works even if set to break in settings, same for Active Track
if bypass is of when you do return to home bypass comes on

That might be an EU think, cause in the States you can increase it as much as you need, at least up to a limit in the thousands. Otherwise try in settings?
In my location 500m is my max I’d have to drive 20miles and get out of the airspace to go up higher
That's if you can get on the mountain with no winds.
If the mini 2 can handle these crazy mountain winds the air 3 for sure can.
