To those who think this couple hasn't done enough to the world to enjoy their life, you may not know how many schools were sponsored, houses were built, funds were raised, children were helped, poor people were supported by both Ellen and Portia, especially, Ellen. She doesn't only do these things in her show but also in her original life. And yes, they're wealthy but not the wealthy-mean-scrimp kind. She didn't receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom for nothing. And she's not the mother of the whole planet, she can't help every single country, individual or crisis. So, before judging someone, get to know what they've done first, it would help your jealous attitude.

I used love Ellen. Then she became full of herself. As far as giving. Its the sponsors, not Ellen's money that gives.She spends on houses and cars. Who needs all those house's and cars while so many homeless people. Do something for that. Yes Ellen you ate a celebrity. You make that known every chance you get. You're ego sadly is bigger than the money you make. I stopped watching. Why don't you do something, not you're sponsors. I've turned to the Kelly Clark son show. She's real and down to earth and is not about her "CELEBRITY " .

It's super disappointing that 99% of this interview is about saving the gorillas and how great both of their efforts have been so far and 1% is about Ellen gifting Portia the Lamborghini... Yet that's what makes the title of the video. Sad.
Matt Chandler I was thinking the same thing. Then I wondered if I would have clicked on it had it not been for the Lamborghini in the title that I was hoping to see. 🤷🏻♀️ Click-bait that ended up being better than I was hoping for. Definitely misleading.
I also believe its useless trying to save the gorillas because unless we are all willing to change our life styles drastically there will be no saving the gorillas and everything else. The natural world is disappearing at an alarming rate, there is over population, consumption etc... the earth cannot sustain this for long. We live in an over consumption world Costco, Walmart, Target...etc... Ellen herself promotes all her stuff from the show( the gift store) how much of that ends up in the landfills and so on. I really wish these stars would get educated before promoting things like this because their lavish lifestyle just contributes to the continuing environmental collapse

I was also getting annoyed at her pointing at them and Ellen was too. When they talked about not pointing at the gorillas.. Ellen was so smooth about it. "And don't point at celebrities too." I think she was trying to give the interviewer a hint but she clearly didn't get it 🙄

Gabriela Cluciuniuc people usually do it when it’s empty. It’s fun in the moment but in between there can’t be much, same with the highly extraordinary gorilla trip.
Big gifts and big vacations, but how fun and nice are those everyday moments when there is a need for such huge things to be ”happy”?! I have no doubt the articles saying they struggle and have been for years are true because the personal connection these days between them comes off as not as easy going as before when they came out as a couple many years ago and the period around their wedding year. Just take the example of Portia being asked to not work anymore because Ellen wanted to provide for her, but every adult is in need of social connections that are just their own (such as having co-workers and feeling you do something and to be independent), and being tied to only have your social things come from your partner majority of the time is not a winning concept.
It’s sideways to pretend 5-10 cars in the garage is a sign of love!
Extravagant gifts...how about you give gifts to the poor daily to honor each other.

It doesn’t have to be one or the other when you’re their level of wealthy.
Assume that your dream is to give the person you love the most Lamborghini, and you work very hard, the day you get money to fulfill that dream will you say let me buy her a min Volvo so I can give the rest of the money to the poor! Humans nature has all the emotions. We can give and given but can't be selfless. If you go buy the shoes that you like can you buy another that you don't like but are cheaper 2 pairs so that one you can offer to the poor.

I absolutely adore Ellen and Portia and I love how much they try to do for everyone. But buying and driving a Lamborghini on the one hand and on the other hand wanting to save these animals. I dont get it. Cars like Lamborghinis, Porsches, Land Rovers, etc are extremly damaging to the environment of the whole earth, especially the territories of wild animals.
