  • In this video I continue with my tutorials on magnetostatics which is pitched at university undergraduate level. Specifically I derive the formula for the magnetic vector potential of a magnetised object (subject to the magnetic polarisation caused by an externally applied magnetic field). Calculating the resultant polarisation (magnetisation) field is equivalent to calculating the field produced by both bound surface and volume currents. I also suggest a physical interpretation of these bound currents.
