  • Today, I'm showing you how to make a buttercream stencil cake using royal icing! Using a stencil to decorate your cake can create a beautifully elegant design, perfect for a wedding cake! You can use any stencil design you like to fit the theme of the cake. This technique can also apply to royal icing cookies, as well as buttercream cakes. Using a stencil is my favorite way to dress up any cake in a simple and classy way.
    Stay tuned to see how other decorating techniques, like floral arranging and gold leaf accents, can elevate your cake and complement the stencil design beautifully!

    Have you ever tried using a stencil to decorate your cakes?

      I had no idea you could do that! Would you be able to do a different color for the stencil?

      @@kaysense6136 Yes totally! Just be careful not to add too much gel color to your royal icing. It will get thin quick, so you may have to add back sifted powdered sugar to get it to the right consistency for stenciling.

    Looks great. I always use swiss meringue buttercream for the cake & to do the stenciling.

    This is really pretty. I’ve been wondering why my stencils not working. Buttercream on buttercream. I will freeze the cake then take the stencil and put the buttercream on and it looks a mess. What’s your royal icing recipe

    Are you supposed to be putting real flower steams directly into a cake I've always been told you never do that

    • @kaylinoshin4819
      @kaylinoshin4819 Před 2 lety

      Use straws to cover the stems. Wilton has flower couplers to cover the stems too.
