Was there, i cried, nothing more to say...
I can feel her brokenness as she sings "Smother". I felt the same, I was always "too much" for him. I gave my everything and it hurt me. I get attached too quickly and have a deep fear of abandonment instilled in me. "Sometimes I wish I stayed inside my mother, never to come out", I've tried to take my own life before, and I often have dark thoughts. I'm working on it more now.
Life's funny sometimes, and it's finally getting better now. I used to believe I didn't deserve to be happy. That I'll always be hurting and scared. I feel grateful to be alive. I love life and I have learnt how to really appreciate it more now.
Whoever's reading this, I'm sending you love.

wow, that dead silence during smother.. thats the highest gratitude an audience can give an artist, which sounds contradictory :) -I think Daughter is the only band I've ever seen, where this happens. Bless you guys
yesssss, i love dead silence = when the audience is quietly really listening = respectfully, deep and almost "religiously", yes quite very seldom ,yes indeed . Pretty sure that i've sometimes experienced this in my numerous Marillion gigs, but probably other artists also...Very true with Daughter, hope they'll keep on having success with that kind of beautiful soft calm atmospheres, though i could enjoy some less quiet moments, they stll have my preferences...cheers.

Fossa creates such an ethereal atmosphere I just can't think of a better song to wrap up their incredible show. This is outstanding.
Indeed, the amalgam of Elena's and Igor's guitars with Remi's drums in this song are truly unique.
I've always dreamed to go on a Daughter show (which is my fav band), and if i have an opportunity one day, i'll probably just stay still on the same place crying the entire show.
Come back here to listen specifically to these versions - like "Alone/With You" and "Doing the Right Thing," really special.
smother feels so deep
The number of times I've watched this whole video in the last two weeks, it's frightening.
Every time she sings the last part of smother i see sadness in her eyes, specially when she says my mother. Amazing performance
Fossa's ending is so powerful. That bass from 55:35, the incredible drums. They really give it all into their music.
I love this performance more every time I watch... I watch fairly often.

Bands like this are a hidden treasure. I never heard of these guys, yet about a week ago I somehow came across them. Now I am addicted to them. It makes me wonder how many other bands this incredible are hidden away from me waiting to be discovered lol.

Listening to this set after the end of a 7 year relationship is honestly pretty cathartic.
I always listen to Daughter after a break up. It helps me heal and get over the heart break. I've been non stop listening the last 2 months since my breakup of a 2 year relationship so I get you. It's not quite the same as 7 years. I hope the best for you and that you're doing better. Elena gifts us with this music.

I have listened to this band for about 6 or 7 years, but just now I realized how beautiful Elena Tonra really is.
"Tomorrow" what a tune. How come they produced that sound live, absolutely immense.

We discovered them on June 12th in Toronto 2016 as well, then saw them again at Osheaga, then in Toronto again November 16 and I met Elena after :) She is such a lovely person!

Proof that less is more when it comes to art. It's astonishing to me that such a young band has put out two LPs, a couple of EPs and some singles and there's not a single bad song on any of them. They make albums that you have to listen to in their entirety or you miss out. I'd sell both my corneas and at least one of my livers to see them in person.

i saw these guys play in a tiny room in cardiff in 2009/10 where 90% of the crowd was sat down cross legged. probably a 100 cap room at most and i remember feeling haunted by their music. i was in awe of what i was seeing and have loved them since. seen them live on many occasions but to see them in that room was unreal.

I've been listening to daughter for nearly 5 years and I haven't stopped loving them since I first discovered them (which I am so glad I did). One of my life goals is to literally go to one of their concerts and watching this is making me internally scream with how much passion and love I have for them. Their songs are so raw and beautiful and show what true pain looks/feels like. Their songs got me through so much shit and through all the hard times in my life. I just ughh love love love! COme to Canada plsss

It's weird how this is that one band I always keep returning to and always find as beautiful as ever.
I've actually got some pretty strong memories associated to some of their songs. About two years ago I left to travel for the first time on my own. I had really wanted to experience a true harsh winter so I left to Norway to help some people with their building projects in exchange for food and a bed. I had to fly over Oslo so I planned a one-day layover there so I could explore a little. In the end the plane got heavily delayed and I arrived at about 3am in my hostel so I didn't feel very energetic the next day. It didn't help that it was basically the worst winter weather ever, just slightly above freezing with a lot of rain. But I didn't want to let it go to waste so I left anyway and roamed around the city a bit. I ended up on some park on a hill just at the edge of the city. Completely soaked, lethargic and extremely anxious about the journey that awaited me, I was listening to this music while walking in the rain on that snowy hill. It had all the ingredients to create such a strong memory that every time I hear her voice, I remember everything about that moment again. It was so beautiful and sad at the same time, perfectly mixed, just like in this music.

I really like the sound of this band, of their music. Surprised, got here by chance cause I Shazam'ed their hit 'Sleeping Alone' (earworms, y'know). Some bands, it's the awesome production...here, being live, I'm enjoying the sound of the performance.

I experienced Daughter in W. Hollywood at the Troubadour. I've seen over 100 bands live. Daughter is like non other. And to see them at the Troubadour was amazing, it's a small venue. I was just feet from the stage. They haunt my dreams. We were not as well behaved as the audience here. We Americans love to yell and whistle during songs...like impolite dogs fucking in an alley. The band didn't get bugged out though. They were just as humble and truly appreciative as they are at this show. Do whatever it takes to catch this band live. Don't be careless or caviler, you will regret it. I would rather listen to Daughter through a paper cup then most other bands with the best speakers made.
