I was introduced to Christy Moores music by a friend of mine from Dublin back in 1996. I didn’t find out until many years later that being adopted as a child in the early 70’s, I was mostly Irish!
While I grew up in an Italian family, thanks to Catholic Charities, I’m mostly Irish!
i met Christy one evening on his way into an AA meeting in my school a couple of years after he released this song... i still have the autograph and he is such a lovely man - and with him being from Newbridge, that's a big thing for a Naas man to say
