- Today I visit HMP Forest Bank in Salford.
It's a private mens prison operated by Sodexo.
I discovered they have a big Japanese Knotweed infestation on their grounds.
I went for a walk around the outside of the prison for a nosey, and had an interesting interaction with some guys in a car. Unfortunately the prison staff were reluctant to communicate with me lol.

I was just recently released from forest bank on September 13th this year i had a padmate on B1 wing who would regularly self harm most days he ended up cutting his wrist pretty bad to the point blood was dripping everywhere i got on the buzzer 20 minutes later a screw turns up i tell her the crack no response looks at him then says she will call for the nurse this was around 1pm a nurse didnt arrive till after evening meal so around 5pm ish he was handed 2 plasters and she never even entered the cell just looked at him through the small window at the door , This put him on the act review so a night staff will check on him at the door every hour , I blocked the hatch with toilet roll as neither of us wanted him looking in oscar 1 was called which is security in forest bank came to our cell and said and quote "if you want to fuck about lad we'll come in and fuck about with you both" they came in threw us both to the ground while elbowing stuff off the wall we had hanging up , broke our tv , kicked punched and headlocked myself even though i was on my knees at the back of the cell following their orders to then be dragged out by my feet like a animal and left lying on the wing floor for a good 20 minutes handcuffed with 2 big security lads stepping over me to show dominance , A week later that same night staff guy came to our door kicking the door telling us "how you feeling after last week" laughing to himself my old padmates still in here and can only imagine that hes still being treated like a dog because of his mental health he was the soundest lad ive ever shared a cell with aswell

Used to be Agecroft Power Station, did my apprenticeship there. It was a great place to work.
The reason why they build walls around this prison is to stop people from getting in for a holiday for free

Sodexo are the Home Office's new favourite provider since G4S fell out with them. They have a number of MOJ contracts including prisoner transport. GEO Amey are slowly being squeezed out in favour of Sodexo. Why ? because they do it cheaper and that reflects in the calibre of the staff. Because all prisons, private and state, are chronically understaffed the officers assert dominance by fear and intimidation. Beatings are becoming the norm.
I have a follow-up video in the works. Sodexo are an awful company.

The japanese knotweed is a nightmare when it gets in the waterways . they did introduce a host species hoping the bug would keep it in check but not sure they had any success .

It seems that the authorities are hypocritical in your country too - public can’t fly a drone but they can. I’ve heard the reasons for it but it is still upsetting. It’s analogous to the “panic” that businesses complain about when a member of the public is legally filming, but it is okay for them to be filming with their security cameras. Anyway that guy in the white shirt was sure rude to you when he promptly told you to go away when all you did was say hi! Thanks for the video! 😊

I had to remove Japanese Knotweed from my back garden when I moved. Stuff is nuts…..literally grows through brick walls. Nice audit Ace!

Not a great look for them, look at all the weeds and detritus in the road, shoulder high weeds on the footpath, not to mention the Japanese knotweed’s. they need to address that immediately and properly, if any roots are left it will return, that was will fall down from the weight of that and the ivy, y mum had ivy growing up her house and it caused the walls to shift and crack, it cost her thousands to get it removed and get builders in to save the walls, they told her that it wouldn’t of seen another year before the whole house would be condemned ! thank goodness she decided to get it all removed, it may look pretty but it’s dangerous. great audit ace. 👍🏻🫶🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
