Great vid! I appreciate the info you give. Can you please do a vid on comparing salary for nurse case managers in different states as well as how that salary compares to a bedside nurse?
Hey Sam, great video! I just started working as a nurse case manager. Prior I was an ICU nurse for a year and a half. Do you have or know of any resources to help with the adjustment and familiarization with case management?
We have got to stop this gatekeeping-ass, ridiculous myth in this field. It's harmful, painfully out of touch, and a sinister method of keeping nurses trapped at bedside while simultaneously bragging about how diverse the job opportunities are in nursing. You can't have it both ways! Newsflash, nursing does not have a monopoly on critical thinking or any of the skills used at bedside. Construction workers, doctors, retail workers, EVERYBODY (should) critically think no matter what they're doing inside and outside work. Any job skill that requires a nursing degree is inherently a nursing skill. Just because it's not something you'd typically see a nurse do on Grey's anatomy or Scrubs doesn't mean it's not important or "doesn't count" as "real" nursing.

Hi, just saw your video. I can't seem to get a CM job. Most require certification, but you can't be certified without experience. Any tips? Ideas?

You lose all your critical thinking and assessment skills.
What do you mean @sexygirl27
Most of those you learn on the job anyways so whenever you want you can pick them up again. But some people don’t like/need bedside
There is plenty of critical thinking. It's just different.
