I'm not gonna lie, I sat here staring at the scene for a solid 5 minutes and teared up a bit. I miss travel so much. I know it's such a first world problem, but I really miss Europe and hanging out in new cafés in places where I don't speak the language. You did a fanastic job with this one ! I can't imagine the amount of work you put into it. If this is the quality we get from a month's worth of work, then please take your time. You're awesome !
I teared up too! I'm not much of a traveler but I used to go to France for a few weeks with my family every summer until the pandemic came. This is such a wonderful video!

I'm so excited to finally share what I've been working on for the past month. This was the most complex and challenging scene I've ever attempted to create and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Initially I was intimidated to attempt this concept because I've never been to France and I knew very little about Paris. Someone requested that I create a Paris cafe on the poll that I posted a month ago and since it received the most upvotes I decided to give it a shot. I'm really glad that I did because it gave me the opportunity learn about the city and now I really want to visit. I explored the streets on google maps, researched the architecture, and immersed myself in the romantic imagery associated with Paris. The end result isn't based on any one real place, though I used real buildings and objects for inspiration. I hope I captured some of the romance of wandering the streets of the Paris on a beautiful rainy evening in the springtime.

I took my wife and son to Paris for their first time a few years back. We traversed Northern France for three weeks in our own car and stayed in cottages we rented, spending our final four nights in Saint Malo, Bretagne. My real home town. But Paris was a must. A hotel in the fourteenth arrondissement (south of the Seine).
One day we sat on the sloped grass hill of Montmartre and had a picnic just like all the other people there. There was an injured pigeon who befriended us and shared our lunch. I named him Pascal. We were surrounded by people from what seemed like everywhere in the world. The sun was up and it was a lovely day. I gave so much money to beggars but what is life without sharing?
Underneath our hotel, on the corner of the street, was a café just like the one in the picture above. J'adore leur expresso. Fine coffee. ☕️
It is striking about Paris that despite its intense busyness, the Parisian culture relies heavily on taking time out to do nothing, relax, reflect, examine life from sitting, and chatting or just being. As the life of Paris moves quickly around them.
That sounds like a wonderful trip. I wish that way of life was more common in the United States.

I know im in the best place & am getting the care that i need but im not allowed visitors due to covid restrictions & my 5 year old son doesn't understand why he can't see me x

I cried. This gorgeous Parisian vignette is almost similar to a scene painted on one of the birthday cards my childhood best-friend had been giving me for my birthdays when we were little. She knew I love Paris so much and at age 10 while we were having lunch at school (we were also classmates), we made a vow that we should go to Paris one day. From that day onwards, instead of day-dreaming about Paris, I gradually tried my best to learn more about the place and its language. I finally had my chance at age 27 when I had the opportunity to temporarily work as a translator for my home-country's embassy and to study a short course. It is also in Paris, at a quaint bookshop, where I also met my greatest love. As such, thank you for bringing to fore so many good old memories. Montmartre is my most favourite place in Paris. If ever you're thinking of focusing on the charm of each Parisian arrondissement in some future projects, please don't leave Montmartre out. :) Your creations are always superb, but this one is really wonderfully superb. Well-done! It is my wish that you'll travel to Paris someday. Thank you for making my day. Much love. :)

Install an ad blocker... I'm using chromium w ad blocker and never see yt ads, ever. It's funny, when I pull up yt on my IPad i see all these ads and think, wow, that's annoying. Back to the desktop, no ads...

I just can't seem to understand why after all I did for that company they have never progressed my career or even gave me a salary increase. I swear as a senior manager I was being low balled so much. Towards the end when I put in my resignation even my team told me the company didn't deserve me. My team effectively all resigned as well or are looking elsewhere.

It’s still beautiful in Paris when it’s raining. You see a cafe called Le Cafe Calme. You walk inside for a cup of coffee for the morning.
After a while, you leave to walk around. Many travelers are going to the Eiffel Tower for touring. Your from Deutsch (Germany). Say something in German like, “Wie war down Tag?” (How was your day?” They get confused but you walk it off.

In the Notre-Dame cathedral, the rose window casts shadows of magical color across the stone floor. A short walk across the Seine and you’re at the Shakespeare and Company bookstore; time slips by like motes of dust as you wander through the shelves. Outside, as you walk down Boulevard Saint-Germain, you marvel at the limestone buildings, adorned with wrought-iron balconies and dormer windows, each one distinct and yet perfectly unified with its neighbors. You duck down this side street and that, searching for hidden treasures: a bright blue door in a crumbling stone wall; a minuscule cheese shop operated by a smiling, red-cheeked old man.*
*A gentle rainstorm begins; you’re not ready for dinner yet but you want a little pick-me-up. The cafe patio where you sit down is protected from the rain by an awning. The air is warm and smells like spring, a sweet, fresh smell that wafts from the flower shop across the way and the blooming planters that adorn every windowsill. Your coffee shop/cafe videos with the smooth jazz are my favourites. They transport me inside the cafe with a hot mug of coffee, relaxed and watching the street life. I love it when you notice little scenes outside the cafe -- a face at a window, a person hurrying along the sidewalk, a dinner party going on in a neighbouring restaurant. I hope you make many more of these.

@@Petra999 I found a lovely small hotel in the 7th arrondissement, reasonably priced. It was central enough to walk everywhere & I even had a fabulous balcony. I visited before the pandemic.

Highly recommend viewing on a tv. When I first saw this on my phone I was a bit underwhelmed but then viewing it again on the tv, I was amazed on the detail 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
