Exploring the World of Birds

Today, we explored the diverse world of birds, discovering 14 main types based on their characteristics. Songbirds are small and sing beautifully, while birds of prey have sharp talons and keen eyesight. Waterfowl, like ducks and swans, live near water, and shorebirds, like gulls, are found in wetlands. Seabirds adapt to marine life, and gamebirds, like chickens, live on the ground. Pigeons and doves have plump bodies, while parrots are colorful with curved beaks. Hummingbirds fly rapidly, woodpeckers drill trees, and herons wade in water. Cuckoos and roadrunners have unique habits, kingfishers catch fish, and flightless birds, like ostriches, don't fly.
