    My wife bought me this griddle for fathers day in 2013. It is now the end of June 2022 and I finally decided to put it together. Unfortunately, I just found out the the instructions were not in the box so your video was epically on time. Thank you.

      LOL. A little procrastination there eh... Glad it was helpful. Enjoy, and thanks for watching.

      I had a few "hick ups" but edited them out of the video. It really is not that bad. Just pay attention which direction is up, and which side the screw holes are on the legs, brackets, and shelf and you will be one step ahead of the game. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoy your new griddle.

      @@jaysantana6286 oh boy... Well I would be happy to answer any questions that I can. I am not near mine this weekend to reference and will have pretty limited internet, but could try to answer when I get back in town. The most helpful thing I can think of off the top of my head is that the legs with the wheels that don't pivot go on the left side if your are facing the front. I wish you luck.

    Do you have a link for the cover and how is that working out?

    • @DevaultFamilyLiving
      @DevaultFamilyLiving  Před 2 lety

      griddleguard.com/products/griddleguard-hard-cover-lid-for-blackstone-36-griddle?variant=32245551988841¤cy=USD&gclid=Cj0KCQjw1tGUBhDXARIsAIJx01kBd1Ui0ySSpg059RrjFNWUCG4CSEbphbf1SLXuwXpNSDzkjEhGo3caAsPpEALw_wcB.
      Or you can look it up under griddleguard on Amazon. I think it is a few dollars cheaper there.
      It does function as it is supposed too. I wished it fit a little better but it isn't horrible, and the other cover still works with it.

      I put a link in the video description for the one that I have. However it appears to be out of stock. I did also put a link to a very similar one (similar cost as well) with great reviews in the video description as well. I hope that helps you.

    There are 2 pins attached to my rails in between the legs. I can't find what they're for

    • @DevaultFamilyLiving
      @DevaultFamilyLiving  Před 2 lety +1

      I wished I could tell you what they are for. I just looked at mine, and I don't see any kind of "pins" on the leg assemblies. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place, but I looked on both sides and see nothing like that.

    How is it working out? I had a Nexgrill griddle but it was only 40000 btu and temperatures were hard to keep stable. I am taking it back and I bought the members mark 60,000 btu hoping it will have more stable temperatures. I am using your video to put it together when I get home. (My wife and I are team truck drivers).

      So far so good. Although I can't say that we have used it a lot just yet. Pretty cold in Michigan right now, so we don't cook on it much cause it is on our back patio. But, the hand full of times that we have, it seems to cook pretty good. Even in the sub-freezing temps, it has no problem staying hot and cooking evenly. My only complaint so far is that only about 80% of the griddle gets to cooking temp. The front of the griddle ( about the first 3 inches closest to the burner knobs ) doesn't get hot enough in my opinion. I use that section for keeping stuff warm, and for buns & stuff like that. I hope the video helps you out. It really isn't that bad to put together. Thank you for watching and have a great day. Stay safe out there.

    • @DevaultFamilyLiving
      @DevaultFamilyLiving  Před 2 lety

      I ordered it on Amazon. Just search "GriddleGuard Hard Cover". I think I paid like $79 for it, but like everything else I see they have went up to $109 now. There are other option on Amazon though.

    How long did it actually take to put it all together?

    • @DevaultFamilyLiving
      @DevaultFamilyLiving  Před 2 lety +1

      I had roughly 45 minutes into it. Quite a bit longer with filming, but I would guess a solid 45 minutes. The legs are the hardest because it isn't hard to put the wrong part in the wrong place.
