We informative and crisp, just got my RCT and applied for zirconia crown for my molar. Earlier had a premolar with zirconia. wanted to check if emax would have been better choice. The doubt was cleared in just 3mins completely.

in case of clenching or any bad habits full sintered zirconia can layering on upper teeth only while lower teeth contraindicated to added any layering even with emax due to the functional cusp in lower actually buccal and with reapted cyclic loading of mastication lead to chipping any layering ceramic

I am from India.
I have two PFM crowns in my mouth.
One on front tooth and one implant of upper premolar.
Those crowns are not giving natural feel to my tongue.
They are more smooth and flat
than other teeths in the mouth.
Could you suggest me which material give more natural feel to my tongue?

hi Dr actually I think the choice of materials either emax or zirconia not make as a basic concept posterior used zirconia while anterior used e max sorry this is not true
how when placement resin composite rest in posterior teeth while the fracture strength of composite not exceed on 45mpa and be durability for at least 3 years without fracture
so IPS empressII with pressabile technique reach after surface treatment to 450mpa which is enough and durabile as well as better margin adaption in comparison with zirconia
the contraindication for using e max in posterior region if the patient have bad habits like clenching or burxism
and in this case only full sintered zirconia or gold the best line of tratment

One question: in terms of heavy metals issues. Zirconia and E max are safe? (Lead, cadmium, mercury, aluminium ect)
And cement (i know some of those has floride which is not good) but cement might be used different.
Good Qs. Yes Fluoride is a neurotoxin, as are other metals in the mouth. So I think a zyrconia implant would be better thna titanium in that case. But Dr Gorbatov does not metnion what the 75% zyrconia plus Emax crown is, so its hard to research more about it.
Hello doctor, Can you please give me advise? A few days ago my upper molar was pulled out and near to this tooth I have a tooth with a zirconium crown. When I looked in mirror I found out that front part of this crown on side of my lips which used to be smooth now only has 1/3 of tooth smooth and seems like 2 millimeters thickness of my crown seems to be gone now. So I don't know what to do; is it possible to polish this crown to make smooth again? Or do I have to remove this crown? My tooth under this crown had a root canal and I hear that removing this crown is very difficult and can sometimes damage the tooth; is this correct?

Not a answer to a 2 sentence question on CZcams. Now if you send a 3d scan, this can be certainly something a doctor can help you with. But, you get the picture.

I grind my teeth and I had 3 emax put on 3 of my front teeth and within weeks two of them cracked. I had to replace them and they creacked. I finally had all 3 replaced today ziconia. 2 months of hell of crowns and temps taken in and out. I hope the zirconia work. I'll update in a few months on how my ziconia crown held up.

Get zirconia if you can. I broke emax crown and I had to drill more tooth to put on zirconia. I didn’t know but if I knew I would have got the zirconia crown

@@mohammedzabeerali8920 I got zirconia. It has a little color difference but not too noticeable. I got a 5 year warranty. But the emax with zirconia had 8 year warranty but was dobble the cost of zirconia.
