I can imagine Andrea giggling constantly watching this video, how Tom got so into girls fashion and then his reaction seeing total cost. Remember, if you like some style, but they dont have it in store in needed size- check if you could order it.
The care and joy you had picking out your children’s clothes so carefully really touched my heart.
The part where you were picking shoes out for each of them was so sweet. Picking out ones that you could see them enjoying, not all parents would do that🥺
Good supportive shoes are so important. My oldest had foot problems in grade school. I could buy cheaper clothes and spend more money on the shoes.

You can never go wrong with buying good comfortable shoes. Feet are so important. It’s just also important to be able to try them on cause brands and styles differ in fit.
Agreed! I used to work in a childrens shoe shop. They should have space in the toe box (enough to wiggle their toes freely, and a few cm of length to grow into), and be snug on the heel (so the heel doesn’t slide left/right or out of the shoe). Always test the heels by watching the child walk away from you 🤗

You’re such a great dad! I bought the Sketchers unicorn shoes for my daughter. They last the whole school year and also you can turn the lights on and off by pressing a button on the strap. I thought that was neat. Lol

Great job dad, with buying good quality clothing and shoes, you will be able to hand them down to the next child when they outgrow them. Next time before shopping at a certain store just put in the name of the store, and Google coupon code, most of the time they have a code to save on your purchase around 25% off the total. Saves us a lot, and you can ask at the register if they have any coupon codes. I watch sales from my area of stores also.
If Eden is a 6 in kids, she is actually probably a 7.5-8 in womens shoes. Keep going! Youll get the hang of it!

Mom of 6 here ... If you have Kohl's near you, they offer good deals on name brand shoes, especially when they have their kohls cash deals + sales. I've found them to be close to the same price as Wal-Mart shoes.
The kids could probably use some long sleeve shirts.

We caved and got the sketchers light up for our girls last year. They lasted the year nicely and one of them still fits so she has those for playing in the dirt now. Lol! We got the same snowpants at walmart. My girks still love matching too. Aw man ill have to g back and look for those purple gloves and boots!!

And be lol at times when they ask for other colors other then the colors they assign for etc etc or when move out must be strange to buy other colors or etc and not their design colors

Why doesn’t the boys go shopping on their own and Eden go with grandma Kitty? I can understand you shopping for the younger kids.When I was Eden’s age my mom let us pick our own clothes.It just seems very controlling that the older kids have no say in what they wear or get to pick on their own.
I agree. All kids want their own style especially girls. I wish all the kids would try public schools for at least a year. This might help some become more sociable possibly! Just my opinion! He’s a wonderful Dad regardless ❤️🙏🏼
Eden was going shopping with grandma kitty. Honestly though, some kids just don't care about their clothes. I never did and my kids could care less too. They aren't interested in going to pick clothes or shoes.

I was happy to hear you admit Eden is in a more grown up style. As hard as it is to accept she is not a little girl anymore she’s growing into a young lady and needs to shop in the juniors dept. Have you ever ordered online at Wal-Mart then the kids can help with picking stuff and you can return if wrong size. It would also let you find sale or clearance items

They look nice but it would probably be good for everyone to go and try them on to make sure they get ones that fit their foot well. It makes a big difference especially for people who need extra support.

I love seeing you shopping for kid's clothes, I definitely need to start making lists I often end up buying extra stuff because its cute or they would like it LOL. But sometimes I need to be more careful because some kids end with more than what they need and others with not enough, I only have 5 and expecting #6 but its overwhelming sometimes. I haven't bought much for the baby even though its a completely different season for him, so he can't wear much of my big boys handme downs (the older 3 were born in sept).

Try finding a kids consignment shops near you plus if there close they grow out off are still in good shape most stores will give you a credit

Cost a bit more for brand name justice items and also sock brands. Girls nearly be all in same size so u could buy bulk of same socks and share

I’ve always bought short sleeve shirts and shorts for the beginning of the school year. It’s always warm in the month of September and you can always find good deals.
Tom I know you don't have a lot of free time, but you may consider tasking one of the older kids with online bargain clothes/shoe shopping for you. I bought 2 pairs of adult sized Columbia snow boots for under $50 each. They were just on a crazy sale. My daughter likes Sketchers sneakers too and I can typically find multiple locations with them on sale plus free shipping. Perhaps for a service project they could locate the items for you at the best price and supply you with the links?

I always enjoy your hauls Tom. You did a great job buying their clothes too last a while. They will grow into them and the ones they older forks wear can be handed down to the younger ones or family members. Don't feel bad about it eveythinv is so high right now. Shoes are the one thing I spend a lot of money on for my kids. The good ones end up lasting us longer and I like having good stuff on their feet. I do buy them 1 pair of cheap Walmart shoes for when they want to play in the mud lol
That really wasn’t so bad with the prices for all you got! We have six kids, I know it adds up so quickly. Some would spend that much on 2 kids winter stuff getting brand names only.
My oldest just turned 13 and it’s so hard to know what she would want as a mom even lol

That is a big job shopping for so many!! Takes time and patience and energy to shop like that! Good job. We do a lot of online only because my kids are older and just pick out what they like but we do have to return because some things just don’t work. Have a great Sunday.

Tom I think you did pretty good on clothes and shoes . Some people spend that much on 1 or 2 children.
You should take the kids out by age’s (groups) together with you to buy clothes and shoes. Everyone has their own taste, and they would like to pick out stuff…even if they had a “amount” that they could spend.
