"What was the excuse in the first fight?" I don't know, the fact he was 24 and Usman was 28 seems like a pretty big reason. For context, at 24 Usman had never fought in a professional mixed martial arts contest. None. Edwards was 4 fights into his UFC career. and 13 fights into his MMA career.

Lets be honest. If usman stopped making novice mistakes like not ducking his head after any kind of feint he would have won the second fight. Him bringing his head down after every feint allowed edwards to land the kick. He should have mastered that by now and it should be a comfortable usman win.
