Will you be posting Lori's Sleep Charter as you said in the video? I hope you do. Thank you. I think this was an excellent success story. It has so much more info than others I've watched. The problem I have is finding the capacity to implement Daniel's methods as my anxiety is huge and has been lifelong. Insomnia is just it's latest iteration. This video talks to that as I've felt like such a failure in not being able to implement. Thanks.

Hi Fiona, thanks for this comment. It reminded me to say that I haven’t heard back from Lori but hope it do! I meant to post it and I was really curious to read it myself. But I haven’t gotten it yet. Hopefully soon!

Lori, I would also love to hear about the dutch authors book. Being Dutch myself and involved with the SCS for years I am amazed I have never heard of it!
Edit: it probably is Aline Kruit, I just found her book awesomely titled: 'sleeping is doing nothing' 😊 in Dutch 'slapen is niets doen'.

the best video you have uploaded in ages. Daniel, your channel is great but too many of the interviewees haven't had long enough battles with insomnia for the videos to truly strike home with folks like me (battle on going for 30 years and counting of life so far). well done on conducting an excellent interview, well done to Lori and hope there's more like this to come

What is more difficult is when you have severe health problem like chronic illness and that lack of sleep worthen your symptoms... so the fear in that case is normal because you need so much rest with your disability and it will be so difficult without sleeping...
What to do in that case ?

It's so mental. Miss a night and you think it's due to a health issue and bam. Miss a night because the hotel guests next door are partying and it's a whole different game - you even start thinking how much you'll make up the next night.

I have gone 5 years since my "big one", couple of bad nights here ans there but nothing serious. Now seemingly out of nowhere, I'm on 2 nights in a row of very little sleep. I am disappointed, I've watched so many of your videos and know what is going on this time, but still struggle. I thought by arming myself with such sleep knowledge I would never struggle again. Here I am again. Hopefully I can beat it again.

Hang in there, check the speed bump playlist and you know, remember its when we think there’s an enemy we need to beat there can be some struggle, but when you abandoned the fight, and no longer are hard on yourself for “losing” or “failing” - you find the peaceful sleep again 🙂

Hi Carrie, I’d say Set it & Forget it is a great starting place for someone new to our way. Straightforward, easy read but - with some ideas that are a little outdated. This is Natto is great for a deeper understanding that is great for someone who’s already started to see our way as helpful. Hope you find whichever you chose helpful 🙂

I do not understand. At time Lori scheduled THIS podcast, she is STILL on sleeping pills(benzos)?? Help me here. Am I understanding right? How can one know if they have truly recovered if still on pills, unless they have adjusted their attitude and no longer feel pills are a problem, even though they are incredibly sedating, but think nothing of it. Please help me understand here. Thanks in advance.

Hi! Yes, I think really it’s like you said, true freedom is when something no longer impacts our life, when we are free from guilt/worry/shame/anxiety/comflict. And we can be entirely FREE even if we take a medication. And you know, at the end of the day peace of mind and freedom really are where we want to be 😊

Again the panick attacks after sleepless nights. This is a common pattern.
