I am a fan of this wonderful singer . I have also had the pleasure of meeting him , he is so natural , charming and unasuming . I wish I could have been one of his students .
Wonderful! This is almost like listening to GDS circa 1947 and is therefore one of the best versions I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. Thank you for posting it.
Salvatore Fisichella has a website you can key into . I have been in contact with him for some years , he sent me a CD of him singing favourite arias . Some voices are a musical instruments , others are not , however well they perform . Salvatore Fisichella's voice has a bell like ring of steel . Over the span of his career he has not pushed his voice with excessive performance . Giuseppe di Stefano and Maria Callas are examples of Great Bel Canto singers who ruined their voices belting Verdi .
I met Salvatore Fisichella in I'm guessing 2002/3 . He was singing in Tosca open air at Massa Maritima , Toscana . I went backstage afterwards , waited a long time while he was singing in the shower . We talked for about half an hour . I studied singing years ago and was interested in his technique , breathing the female way . I spoke to his student following , advising to sing within the voice ,not to be pressured to sing big , to sing roles their voice was suited too , as Maestro does .
He never seems to overpower with artifice at the expense of what can and perhpas should be lyrical and delicate. Perhaps it's that which makes his interpretations so arresting and so much in the tradition of the great tenors of the past. Thank you!
what a beautiful pure tenor! So miss him on today's stage, Bravo, Master class of the Master!

David Barneby what about Técnic And the position of the voice?
I'm curious about the female breathing he talked about. Is it the same thing as Marcello Giordani talks about in his masterclass? Thank you.
Wonderful virile voice , perfect style. Bravissimo Maestro !!
ein toller tenor -den ich leider nicht auf der bühne erlebte

@Huaimek861: I just saw your comment --when did you see and meet him? What opera?
And in the theatre this would be called “hamming”
Leggiero.
Oh here is your controversial comment.
No, he is a Full-Lyric Tenor.
Well yeah, so what? This is very much part of that repertoire
Alex The Great Hmm don’t know about that, most probably not full lyric I’d say, not entirely sure though..
Oh out of tune paino lol
El sol final está un semitono bajo, por eso suena igual a la repetición de la misma frase.
