Red Bull’s eSports Unfold series is back with Masato ‘Bonchan’ Takahashi as he reflects on his darker past of the Mahjong world and narrates his transition into professional gaming. With the help of his mentor and friends, Daigo Umehara and Toyota Fusuke, the documentary highlights the turning point of Bonchan’s life.

I really loved Bonchan's comment at the end about what the next steps are: "Show the gaming scene in a better light and for what it really means to some people."
Even in a doc about him which is on the red bull channel, bonchan held a bottle of red bull in his hand and wearing team gear, now I think of it, never saw him in any event not showing team logo, gonna love that dedication.

ALAKTORN ..He said he had to break his own rules for stronger reasons..Sounds more like he was yakuza, and that he had to strong arm customers not paying their mahjong debt ...cause his job was on the line or worst. Yes he's very lucky to have met Daigo. Bonchan is a BAMF.

He was fat during like the first half of SF4 life. I remember he was still fat when he bodied the entire Korean team (including Infiltration) during a Canada Cup team tourney He must of dieted for his waifu ...or health reasons....I wish someone would ask him about that, but its hard to do it without offending him lol. But in reality he was like an average American ...but boy when you're over weight in Japan....you will get noticed . I heard companies in Japan has to pay a penalty if their workers are overweight or something lol.

I'm Japanese and following their stream " Topanga" including Mago, Tokido Bonchan Fuudo and so on. Bonchan himself and Topanga squad(and of course Daigo) sometimes joke that he was fat in the past

Mahjong needs lots of memorize and guessing your opponent, and it's a game really need to sense the aura. involving superstition some time. I can totally tell the relate between fighting game and Mahjong.
