    You've got to hand it to the Crusaders Organisation. In 27 seasons of Super Rugby in all it's forms they are 13 times Champions, 4 times R-up, 20 Times made the Semi Final's. Most Wins, Most Points, Most Tries, Most Goals(Pen, Con, DG) a 3 in a row and a 6 in a row. Take a bow Crusaders, simply the best.

      Forgot one stat above all. The Crusaders have never lost a home finals match in their history. And more importantly have hosted 6 Grand Finals and won the lot.

    Matera´s kick was far from a beauty, but his vision of what to play was extraordinary, quite unusual for forwards that naturally tend to charge and try to burst through defences!

    • @dalmarahmed8499
      @dalmarahmed8499 Před 2 lety +32

      It was a good kick - worst case scenario it would have been taken back into goal-line for CRU Drop Out
      Also as a leftie, kicking against his body
      Agree on the vision needed, saw the kick space and attacked it

      I’d say it was a great kick, sat up before the goal line, blues players on the back foot, the vision and execution in the WET was sublime, and also because he’s a loose forward. That is more than just a good kick it ultimately was Saders Game Set Match play.

    • @pacovidela
      @pacovidela Před 2 lety +21

      He grew up in Argentina, playing football (soccer), so it’s natural for him to use space and kick the ball that way.
      That proves again how advantageous it is for a professional sportsman to have training and certain expertise in other sports. That’s definitely an added value!

    Wonderful control by Mo’unga throughout, edged his battle with Barrett with a superior kicking game, though one must wonder how much better the Blues backline would’ve looked if their pack hadn’t been so absolutely clueless at the lineout, Whitelock made Eklund and co look like a bunch of idiots, and poor control of the breakdown led too often to wastage of good field position whenever Christie and Barrett got them moving forwards. Won’t say this was a classic performance from Barrett at flyhalf, but I do think he was one of the Blues’ best performing players today, but with everyone else totally flat and uninspired, there wasn’t much he could do to drag them over the line, especially with Whitelock bossing setpieces, Jordan cleaning up the back, Reece and Leicester rampaging, and Mo’unga constantly kicking the Blues into trouble.
    Totally outclassed in their own backyard. Bower, Whitelock, Mo’unga surely a lock in to start against Ireland now, although for my money Barrett’s more physical presence will be more effective against the Irish as it was last year before he was taken off with concussion.

      Clarke overrated compared to other wings. Reiko never been convincing at 13. I just don't get the obsession. Blues talk, Cru win
