Any title track should just automatically be paired with a dance practice 😁 they are crazy good dancers, and some of the choreos are just insanely satisfying
One of the best kpop songs ever
Because NCT-127 started out with a more Western pop/hip-hop style, they were often misunderstood and the mainstream public began labeling their music as just "noise." People were even starting to question if they were going to be SM's first failure. However, with "Simon Says" this was NCT's and SM's response to all those haters. It was their way of proving that there is more to the group than meets the eye (or ear in this case), etc.
Plus, everything NCT/WayV does has to do with their dream concept, so what you are seeing in their "Simon Says" MV has to do with different aspects of showing how they have or will accomplish their dreams. The song is pretty much a callout to all those doubters and haters. They are telling people to watch out because all your negativity is actually fuel to my fire and it will only make accomplishing my dreams and goals that much more possible, etc. i.e. Keep watching us because we will take over the world -- which is exactly what NCT was created and designed to do.
Therefore, they aren't literally talking about anyone named Simon. They are saying, like the game Simon Says ... "copy what I say and follow me."
"Simon Says" was their lead track on their Regular-Irregular album, which came out in 2018.
In "Simon Says" there are 10 members in NCT-127 -- Taeyong,Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Mark and Haechan.
You pair all your Seventeen MV reactions with the dance practice for that video, so why not also watch the dance practice for NCT's songs right after you watch the MV? NCT is known for their dancing and they have a dance practice for almost everything they do, even if there is no dancing in the MV. You really can't appreciate NCT's swag until you see how good they are at choreography, and you have no idea what their dancing is really like until you see their dance practices. There is so much to their choreography that the MVs don't even begin to do the dance justice.
Kpop was built on western music so I doubt that was why they were misunderstood but people that only listen to their title tracks assume all they make is noise music when they're quiet versatile

Simon Says is just THAT neo queen
Came over from the “Kick It” reaction. Watched all of both, thank you very much, especially since they’re two of my all time favorite music videos. “Simon Says” was my first 127 mv, and it sounds as wonderful to me now as it did when I first listened to it. It was a transition video: Jungwoo had recently joined, and their Chinese member (Winwin) hadn’t yet left to help form WayV. The previous single, “Regular,” is the only one that features all 10 members performing , while “Simon Says” has Winwin in the video (he’s wearing the sash), but not dancing. Oh, and the videos didn’t get English subs until about a year or two later.

This song was so far ahead of it's time. It got so much hate when it came out it was crazy. Everything about this comeback was perfection from the song to the concept to the fashion. I would definitely suggest the dance practice for this one, it's one of my favs!
Also, I could be wrong but this may be the first time the boys themselves starting using the term "Noise" to describe their music style in their songs. The lyric "NCT noise, you can't break me". Haters refer to their music as noise music and the group and fandom adopted it and turned it into a positive way to describe their sound.

This song got me into nct I've been a fan for years and that's the nctiest song of nct 😂 this style of music was theirs like only nct could slay this but they have changed their style a little bit but still love them and still a fan ❤

NCT 127 is technically 10 members. But Winwin is also technically inactive in the group since he is apart of NCT's Chinese subunit WayV. He hasn't participated in 127 content since early 2019. So there are 9 normally.
