Scary . I shall not be thinking of that when I fly to Lanazarote on Saturday. For a week . Chill and relaxation. I can't wait.

I would have passed out with fear and feel for all the passengers on that plane. I am happy to hear that all ended well and the passengers were all ok. Thanks Andreas for the beautiful images of the sea. Love to you both. x

@@oldfrostig I am absolutely terrified of flying too and experience everything you described. I am the one grasping on to the chair in front on take off and landing. I cant breathe and the stress on my body is incredible and I have to focus on breathing in and out. I love Lanzarote so much that I put myself through it time and time again. x

I’m petrified of flying as it is. Once spent ten minutes with my eyes closed , finger nails digging into the seats, body shaking , while the plane took off, only to open my eyes and realise the pilot was just warming the engines up and we were still on the tarmac. The worse thing I have ever experienced is coming in to land at Gatwick when without warning the plane suddenly went into a steep climb and accelerated back into the air. Apparently the pilot had spotted debris on the runway. I was a quivering wreck and when the guy sat next to me, who had been making polite conversation during the flight, asked where we we were once we got back in the air, I promptly told him where to go. Needless to say if I’d have been on that flight I doubt I would ever have boarded another plane! I really feel for everyone onboard and am so happy that the plane landed safely. Questions need to be asked of the airline though as a plane engine should not just catch fire. Now, I will try to forget about all this before I step onboard my Jet2 flight to Lanzarote on 31 January. I may hate the flying but the holiday makes a few hours of fear worth it and, of course, one or two beers from the trolley always helps 😃
Had a panic attack, but at least all ended well and the passengers were safe.
One knows that things like this can happen (and sometimes really happen). As long as one engine works, the plane is safe. The pilots have learned how to act in this situation. It is not fun, but no reason fpr panic.

Cannot get English translation any more which is a shame and annoying !!!
