Join me and my four Lovebirds; Alice Grace, Feathers, Violet, and Sebastian, in setting up their 30 x 18 large flight cage with a lot of perches, toys, a swing, and their food and water bowls. I used multiple rope perches, a natural rope perch, a nice swing with two bells, a wood perch, and multiple toys and shreddie items. I also put in a cuddle bone, a mineral block, and I used corn cob bedding at the bottom of the cage.
The things I used in this video were shown in my haul in the previous video I filmed which I will link here:
I also give advice on the size dimensions of a cage needed for Lovebirds and other small species of birds. The cage and diet are two of the most important things you can provide with your bird along with love and playtime. You need to get the biggest cage you can afford and I always recommend a flight cage for the smaller species of birds, canaries, finches, lovebirds, english budgies, parrotlets, parakeets, bourke parakeets, beebee parakeets, linnies, and more!

Update: They have been upgraded to a large flight cage that suits them well. In this video they were all still young but with age they constantly were getting upgraded to larger cages. (The cage they are in now is their 3rd cage) czcams.com/video/tMdtWb3vp1k/video.html
That cage is a good size for one lovebird I'd say two at most... that many seems a bit much on the crowded side. I kept my 3 budgies in a 36x24x40" cage and even that seemed crowded. I'd say something more double the space... would be better.
Thanks for the suggestion, since they are all siblings they like to be close to each other 24/7 but they still have room to fly in! They also get daily exercise outside their cage as well (:
Hi, great set up, I am pretty sure your love birds are going to love their new soace, toys, and perches. I have a rope perch (and a petty perch) on the outside of our conures cage which also has a plan top. Yours has a nice big flat top, and you could also set up a plan area with ladders, perhaps one of your dowel perches sanded, etc. To make it a bit uneven? And a couple of toys, water dish, etc? But you already have a great home for your birds...these are just a few suggestions as time goes on...:) ♡
Awww! Feathers is so cute! Please do a meet my birds video! I'd love to meet them all!
Hi
Parrots & Me I love your CZcams channel but why have you stopped all of your subs miss you
There are many factors in creating an amazing design. One place I found that succeeds in merging these is the Aviary magic method (google it if you're interested) definately the most useful course that I have ever seen. look at this great website.
Thank you
I noticed that you said it was going on the floor and I recommend keeping them at eye level or higher cause their used to being high up
You should check our their new flight cage on my channel!
You can use the door (at the side)for keeping a bathing bowl
Good idea! Thanks!
I’m picking up my girl donuts this up coming weekend. Thankful to be coming across your vids!
Cute!
awwwww! I love the end part of it! it just soooo cute!
Thanks!
Your birds are soooo cute and it seems like they all bond really good!
Love your cage and videos 😊
Thank you!
OMG, I can’t believe I’m just finding you on a CZcams.....I live in Orlando and have been going to you website for months with no luck in seeing LOVEBIRDS available.....I submitted my info tonight to hear from you. Gonna bing watch your videos! Chirp chirp
haha! Thanks!
My grandma passed down her birds a long time ago with this same exact cage. I want to build a new cage for them that is bigger and where they will have more room... And ideas on the cage (walls) and where to get the panels?
Clayton Suarez
it is not difficult, use wood, make the cage as long as possible, that gives the lovebirds distance to fly, put natural branches in the cage, but be careful, what kind of tree you chose. The following site seems to be useful. Kind regards.
www.buildanaviary.com/how-to-build-an-aviary/
love the cage setup , can you put a link where did you got that swing i want one for my budgie .
Thanks!
nice clip with lots of efforts
Thanks!
Hi! Nice video :)
I'm thinkimg about buying that cage, but i would like to put together two of those. How do you put the pieces together? Do you think I would need to weld them?
I do think you can put together these two cages.
Beautiful
Thanks!
First of all let me tell you, I love your smile very much. You have very nice bird setup.
Thank you!
Hi, I just got a peach faced lovebird and I I was wondering if you could do a video of how to tame them ...I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!
Hello! Yes I most certainly will.
Super cute lovebirds BTW, I love the blues!!!!! I have a pair also, my female is peach face and the male is the sea green. I got them as "retired" breeders but since I've had them in a nice big pretty cage with all the things they could ever wish for, compared to the bare min blank cage in the basement the former owner had them in, it think she's feeling hormonal again. A sunny window and a brand new house has her mating and nesting....so maybe there will be babies! I don't want to breed but if at her age (5-6) she wants to give it one more go I'll let her, I'll help her too, if she let's me!
Hi! I am so glad you decided to adopt retired breeders. (: I would recommend NOT letting them breed though. I am sure she is retired for a reason. There are so many complications that can happen when she is egg laying, feeding chicks, etc. She can get egg bound, which is the egg getting stuck inside her and that is fatal. Also she may abandon or pick on the babies for whatever reason and you will need to step in and start handfeeding. Babies who are 0-1 weeks old will need to be fed every 1-2 hours, around the clock, even at night with a dropper. Can you do this? Do you have a brooder and handfeeding formula and experience with handfeeding? Handfeeding is very very complicated and very very risky. So may things can go wrong like aspirating the formula, crop infections, crop injury, and so much more. Please reconsider letting her lay eggs.
Yes, I bird's diet includes 50% pellets. BUT NOT COLORED PELLETS! I recommend using: harrison's, roudybush, or tops. Your bird's diet should also include 50% vegetables
Those are good brands (:
@@BrighterDaysAviary yes. I really like your cage set up though
Is a 17w33L good for two lovebirds?
Nice
Thank you!
The door on the side is for a best box and then the small door in the middle is for the bath 😊. This is a breeders cage. Generally breeder cages are the long, shorter cages.
Thanks for sharing! (:
I have the same size cage as you for my bird and he is a conure is that a good size cage for him
He would need a larger cage (:
I have 2 parakeets and they are not tamed really and I want to move some perches around and add more stuff j have but I heard it stresses them out so what do I do?
You can still move things around but just try and do it as quickly as possible to stress them out the least.
You can let them out of their cage then put new stuffs while they enjoy playing inside a room
i have the same cage in white
Hi so I have one of these cages and I want to get a pair of love birds can I use this cage for 2
If they will be outside of their cage most of the day this will work. If not you will have to get a bigger cage (:
The spare door is probably for a bath
Good idea!
is this a good enough cage for a cockatiel? might get her a friend , so is this good for two cockatiels??
Two cockatiel's would need a bigger cage because they are double the size of Lovebirds. (:
@@BrighterDaysAviary I got the double version of this cage :D
@@AnaDMTL That's awesome!
@@AnaDMTL we’re you find it? Because I have the same exact cage and love it but I would love to upgrade it to a bigger size
@@melanie1680 i got it from facebook marketplace. It was used but it was in great conditions.
Would that cage be a good fit for a 1 love bird
Only if they are out for most of the day.
Awesome
Thanks!
Welcome
You don't need to put any bedding. In fact, bedding can sometimes be dangerous for birds. Just use plain paper
Plain paper sounds great!
@@BrighterDaysAviary yeah! I use plain paper
I'm getting a pair of lovebirds soon and I'm finding it hard to find cages big enough here in Jakarta. They really don't consider bird comfort here. I think I'll join two 60x40x40 cages together so They'll have 1.2m length to fly. They should be happy but my wife's gunna be ropable :D
I am sure your Lovebirds will love it!
I have the same cage, it's my least favorite, but it's good for the price for sure. I keep 2 parakeets in mine so for them it's ultra spacious. And they are young so they enjoy the floor space for wrestling lol.
2 parakeets are perfect for this cage!
AND YOU GOT A NEW LOVEBIRD?!?
Hey is that avi one 311?
im not sure what you mean.
what kind of toys do u recommend for lovebirds
I have a care guide on my channel that goes in depth of what toys lovebirds love!
@@BrighterDaysAviary okay do u have any videos discussing best way to get them used to ur hands and to not bite or fear them?
15:05 8:30 MA? lmaooo. Also, totally love the cage!
Thanks!
What is the name of that cage and where did it come from?
I bought it at a near by bird store(:
U shoeld do a bird tour on all your bird cages
That is on my list! (:
is that cage good enough for one pair of budgie ?
I would say so!
Wow Maha I love this!!

I have same cage for mine
Nice!
Hey what breed lovebirds r those? I’ve been looking for those but I’m not sure about the name. Can u please tell me.
Fischers!
@@BrighterDaysAviary thanks a lot. I subbed, love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩.
what the name of the music at end
Honestly I am not sure! lol
How do you keep your birds from not flying away?
I don't take them outside for them to fly away. Indoors they stay near me.
Um when dors to instructions for setting up the actual bird cage start
I start putting things in the cage around the two minute mark I believe.
Setting up as in arranging the perches/ decorating. Not assembling.
That small door is where you put your bird bath tub😊
Thanks for sharing!
How many parakeets can fit in this cage
Rawr Rico
2 ~ Two
But you can put 3 i just don’t recommend it
Itsme joelys I had two budgies but one of them passed away now I have one in a smaller cage cause she was panicking in the big space by herself
I would say 2!
I wonder how big cage do you have
Sandra Lodin
30x18x18
She said it in the video :)
30x18x18!
What cage do you have pls send link
You can find them on Amazon (: It is called a 30 x 18 x 18 flight cage.
Brighter Days Aviary thx
i think that is for a bird bath
I believe so too!
Those poor love birds need more space! They need a much bigger cage for all of them!
They have a larger cage now (: You can view it on my channel.
You would be pleased to see their new cage now! They were still young in that video but throughout their life have constantly been getting upgraded to a larger cage.
Great cage
Thanks! They have been upgraded to a larger one recently!
4:19 what’s a parolette?
It’s a type of bird:)
It’s a parrotlet they are super cute I have one
A kind of bird (:
Is this fine for a cockatiel or two?
Cockatiels would a larger and taller cage than this one.
**would prefer
@@BrighterDaysAviary I am just planning to make it a cage for them to sleep and let them out daytime
@@BrighterDaysAviary do cockatiels prefer to fly up or fly side wards? Here in the Philippines, its hard to find a good cage
@@LupeVods I understand! And cockatiels fly regularly like any other bird. They just like to climb too!

Thank you! I'll be getting them a stand for their cage soon.
omg thanks for no being somone who whould just start a rant or telling me off and being such a good bird mom great chanel
What about their nests
They don’t breed (:
Think bird cage is two small for four birds like watching you but
They are out a lot (: They fly outside in our huge screened in porch everyday.
Wait 4 lovebirds can live in one cage happily?
My 4 lovebirds have upgraded to a larger cage; 37x27x68. I think this cage would be okay for 4 birds if they are spending all day outside and only sleep and eat in there.
My cage is huge but wondering if 4 birds can live in one cage happily . I have a couple and was wondering if I can keep one of the kids and get the kid a partner that’s why.
Or if I can keep two couples together that have no relation ?
Oh no....... Poor Tweety.... (Loony toons reference)
You would be pleased to see their new cage now! They were still young in that video but throughout their life have constantly been getting upgraded to a larger cage.
This time I will do it manually with the help of woodglut designs.
!
I have a big rat cage my boys died of old age a year ago and I’m ready for a new friend
I am sorry to hear about your little rats. I would suggest getting an actually bird cage as rats cages aren't designed for birds. Also the bar spacing is a big issue, if the bar spacing is too big or too small then the little birds could get hurt.
It depends on the rat cage that you used.
Sand perches are usually bad for the birds feet because it’s sand why would it is basically sandpaper
Kevin Garcia Cement perches are we better
Kevin Garcia But if you put it in there for a few days just for their nails then it’s fine and she also has wooded bones as well not only sand so that makes a variety
Thanks for sharing!
i am mad for seeing birds the last few min
I am sorry to hear!
1 of my birds has splaid legs (idk the spelling :()
Awwww!
I don't like rope perches. Here's why. (If u care). I had a rope perch and the rope unraveled and the wire was exposed, it took me a while to notice it and my budgies were in "danger". Just a warning typa thing
Thank you! Luckily they don't chew the rope (:
😮Deutsche Übersetzung 🇨🇭🇨🇭🇨🇭👏👍🦜🦜
And where is the flight cage you were talking of? So many birds in such a smal cage, no wonder there are fights... and cut.... Can't see anything cute just cruel.
They are actually all siblings and they all sleep cuddled into one another lol, sometimes the two girls don't agree on certain things and they get into arguments and small squabbles but they make amends with each other like a few hours later lol! Don't worry my babies are spoiled. And that is a flight cage.
Lin Framauro siblings can kill each other. It doesn't matter if their siblings when the hormones start raging. You have too many in that cage. I have a cage bigger than this and I have 2 in it. 2 lovebirds are supposed to have at least a 24x24 cage. Way too many. Seriously
Thanks for your concern. My babies are spoiled and loved greatly. They are also always getting cage upgrades and they fly around daily in my huge screened in porch. The small clip you see here is not a representation of their whole life nor of what they do everyday. They have all passed sexual maturity and they are doing great together and they love each other very much. (:
Brighter Days Aviary why do you keep saying there spoiled? and frankly i dont think you should wait for something bad to happen and hope it doesnt i think you should take action so that none of your birds get hurt

More like double cage. A proper flight cage is 24"x24"x48"
Thanks for sharing!
The cage is too small.
You would be pleased to see their new cage now! They were still young in that video but throughout their life have constantly been getting upgraded to a larger cage.
Colorful pallets and seeds are not good for any birds
Thank you for sharing! Dyes are not good for parrots.
your cage needs more toys and instead of those smooth sticks use natural ones because it bad for your birds feet
There are no smooth sticks in the video lol! Check out their new flight cage on my channel.
I see that your birds get colored pellets. They are unhealthy. Seeds are unhealthy too. Both of them can cause your bird to have fatty liver disease.
Thank you for telling me
@@BrighterDaysAviary I love your birds!
Please don’t use mirror toys in your bird cage they can become obsessed with their own image and that can cause hormonal unbalances and lead to starvation
Blueberry Dreamz there is more than one bird so it’s okay but if she only has one bird than it’s bad because it will definitely want to like the bird reflection and also the mirror is only big enough to see the head so they can’t see a while bird in it
Thank you for sharing!
Im sorry i am devastated by how small that cage is. My ONE lovebirds cage is four times that size. Please at least double the space and do ur research
They are constantly getting upgraded and they were still young in that video! So as they grow older their cages will get bigger.
Oh thank god. Love ur videos❤️
@@margaretheschmuckmargareth132 Thank you! (:
Take that mirror toy out! Mirrors can cause birds to become hormanal and aggresive.
