    Brilliant machine! Incredible features at this price point, or any price point. Great value. It replaces my 2 1/2 year old GemiLai CRM4605 on which the steam wand broke off, and stopped pumping my shots at more than 3 bars. It had zero customization features. There is no comparison - the HiBrew is a far superior machine in all aspects: customizing shots, build quality and affordability. Don’t even think twice, buy this machine. You won’t be disappointed. I’m having so much fun with this playing around with different beans, temps, and extractions.

    got this machine. and tried it used in a catering coffee slow bar . pulled about 50 shots. but mostly iced drinks very solid.. several hot mil based drinks, but need to pull the shots first then switch to steam. perfect for slowbar since you need need to switch back and forth with steam and espresso temp. and single dose grinder so can have time resting the machine while grinding and puck prep to pull another shot.

    Thanks for this review. I have had this about a month and like it a lot. It has consistent extraction and the milk steamer works well. I suggest using a puck screen. It is supposed to reduce channeling, and maybe it does, but it is worth it just for keeping the brew head clean!

      @FreeRange9 Před 2 měsíci

      Good choice! I’ve had the gemilai 3605 just over 2 years and the steam wand started leaking where it comes out of the machine and a few days later broke completely off. It has a cheap plastic internalconnector that snapped at the connecting nut. It also stopped increasing puck pressure past 3 bars about the same time. I just received my new Hi Brew today, and the gemilai goes in the trash tomorrow along with the shitty “free” grinder that came with it.

    I just got it cause of your video, I love it so far is been 3 weeks but there’s a major important problem for me and that’s temperature., I already adjusted several times but it’s not hot enough for me sadly sadly cause the rest is great., I am gonna have to think about what to do if return or what., but great little machine just not hot enough.

    • @brewcoffeehome

      Do you mean the espresso in the cup is not hot enough? Or the brewing temperature? You may try to lock the portafilter and run a single shot with just water, and warm the cup. Hope this helps.

    Hello,
    I bought a HiBREW H10A, 15 days ago. I think there could be a problem with the pressure... I've done a lot of experiments and the pressure indicator never goes above half (beginning of the green zone) I would like to know if it is possible to do a test on the pressure pump?
    Tests performed:
    16g, 17g, 18g and 19g of coffee
    Grinding in a professional grinder for Espresso, from the finest (almost no coffee comes out) to the coarsest grind (very liquid coffee)
    Thank you very much for your availability

      If there's an issue with the machine, please reach out to Hibrew's customer service for solutions. If the coffee grinds are so fine that no coffee comes out, but the pressure gauge doesn't move into the red zone, it seems there might be an issue with the pressure gauge.

    • @brewcoffeehome
      @brewcoffeehome  Před 2 měsíci +1

      It seems that the bottomless portafilter doesn't fit the grouphead perfectly and leaks when the pressure is high, but the stock portafilter didn't have this issue. However, after a year, the stock spouted portafilter also started leaking, so I replaced the rubber gasket in the grouphead, and now it doesn’t leak anymore. I think they've already upgraded the gasket in their newer model.

    I have the G3 grinder and this machine. No matter what I do, it hits the red zone on the pressure gauge. Do you have any recommendations for grind size and gram weight for beans for a single shot with this machine? Also, your "test shot" is that a single or a double shot? I am guessing double if it's 17 grams of beans but want to make sure. Thank you.

    • @brewcoffeehome
      @brewcoffeehome  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi, I only use double shot, 16 to 17 grams of beans. I don't have G3. When the pressure gauge reaches the red zone, what does the flow rate look like? If the espresso is dripping out slowly, you might want to try a coarser grind setting.

      @brewcoffeehome  Před 8 měsíci +1

      That's a tough question. If we're talking about the quality and control of the espresso itself, I'd say the HiBrew wins, because Bambino comes with a pressurized basket. However, when it comes to milk frothing and the overall build quality, the Bambino stands out, but it's also more expensive. That's just my opinion. :)

    • @brewcoffeehome
      @brewcoffeehome  Před 7 měsíci +3

      @@JakubCambel Hi, Breville products are quite durable; I've had the Barista Pro for two years without issues. The Bambino Plus is more beginner-friendly, with auto milk frothing and a more forgiving pressurized basket (In some places, they do offer a single wall basket in the box). The H10A is an affordable option for serious espresso drinkers, but you need a good coffee grinder for dialing in to get a better shot. My H10A works well, however, based on some comments here, it appears that a few users have encountered issues with this machine. I think if you primarily enjoy milk-based espresso drinks, the Bambino Plus might be the better choice (If the machine is in good condition). If you want more options to play around with, H10A is worth considering. Just my two cents. :)

    • @torma99
      @torma99 Před 8 měsíci +3

      Last year I also bought this Hibrew, however the one without the PID function, And could not get the pressure up too. As it was a locally branded one, and I am in the EU it was sent back right away and got my money back (40+ days later, so I do not have any trust in the local dealer either).
      Mine was too tight, I could hardly get the portafilter into the machine, and even with that in mind pressure could be ramped up no more than 4-5 bars. With finer grind, the machine was choking itself, when I got a decent flow rate, it was max 5 bars.
      The coffee it made was simply awful.
      If you look carefully in this video, the reviewer do not show us the pressure during extraction, and you can clearly see that the group head is leaking with the bottomless portafilter.
      Funny thing is, that next to a Bianca the youtuber says it has features like the real deal Bianca there, but doesn't mention that it has them only on paper. It must be a thermoblock (and ofc not an Ascaso, or QM Sunny level one) with that 1 minute heatup time, it cannot produce decent espresso with any texture to it, let alone extract flavours from anything that is better than the mid range supermarket tier.
      The truth is, that it is a lookalike where you can mimic the espressomaking with it, but cannot get decent results, which distinguis themselves from the dirt cheap basic hibrew variants.
      Why am I saying this? Because I have one which is 10+ years old with tons of usage. It was sourced out to Brazil by Hibrew and got then rebranded to a local brand of my country. So I know what these are capable for. Mine is the previous variant of the H10 so the PIDless variant which I tried to renew. It cannot make quilaty espresso but it is dirt cheap, so good option for the workshop.
      If you can get a refund I think go for it, and just buy at least a Lelit Pl41TEM if you need PID and a chance for a good espresso.

      Hey there, thanks for sharing your thoughts on the machine! I'm really sorry to hear it's not working out for you. I couldn't get an exact pressure reading, but it consistently hit the green zone if the grinds are correct. The model I tested doesn't show the exact pressure number on the gauge. The one I used in the video seemed to work pretty well. I've been using it for about 6 months now, and the espresso shots still look and taste good.
      I was not comparing the HiBrew with the Lelit, they are not the same level. What I meant was that, for its price, the machine offers more customization options than others in the same range. I noticed the leaking issue you mentioned. I will test the spouted portafilter and see if the leaking is caused by the bottomless portafilter. The machine comes with a spare rubber ring, it might be time to swap it out.
      If the machine is good, I think the pressure really depends on the grind size. If the grinds are too coarse, the pressure will be low on my Lelit Bianca too. To pull off a decent shot, a good espresso grinder is important, along with some know-how on dialing it in. 🌟☕

      If its 19bar, does that mean it will extract at 8 to 9 bars when you have a good puck in there?

    Ho comprato la macchina per Natale, non va in pressione, non fa la schiuma e il caffè è freddo. Ho guardato più volte il video e la macchina è dettata nello stesso modo. Nessun aiuto dal fornitore. No la comprerei più.

      Che caffè usi? Lo macini tu? COn il filtro non pressurizzato il caffè va macinato al momento (se possibile) e con il giusto livello di finezza, altrimenti ci credo che non va in pressione.

    58 mm holder with 3 ears.. Strange solution, as usualy in china... What is the purpose of the manometer if you cannot manage the pressure..

    • @fengLucas-sh9dt
      @fengLucas-sh9dt Před 7 měsíci +2

      You can adjust the pressure by the coarseness of the coffee bean grind. The purpose of a pressure gauge is to eliminate the need for guessing whether this cup of coffee meets the standard.
