  • Installed a Juggernaut tuner kit / Is it faster?
    Installed a Stage 1 tuner kit from GoPowerSports in the Juggernaut driver on the Predator 212 powered Coleman CT200U-EX minibike to see if the bike would gain any performance with the added launch RPM the Juggernaut tuner kit adds. Tested the bike from zero to thirty and top speed.

    212 stroke is 2.165"
    212 rod length is 3.308"
    3.308 divide by 2.165 = 1.52
    A 1.52 is a stump puller motor number. School buses and dump trucks are built with 1.52 motors (Chevy 400). If you want a motor with long legs try a longer rod. Salt flat cars run over 2.0 motors, if you can build it, try a 1.75 motor. You will loose bottom end but find it all up top.
    Awesome channel, you do some fantastic work. Thank you.

    Interesting work. The faster launch isn’t had to figure out, but the higher top speed is likely due to a lower final drive ratio allowing the engine to pull higher rpms. Just a note that a higher engagement rpms are great for launches/racing, but makes the bike less drivable at low speeds such as when you are picking your way through offroad obstacles. So be sure of what you (the viewer) want before spending your money. High stall rpms are hard on belts, too. Be sure your belt is tight, as a loose belt effectively raises engagement rpms; however, at a higher ratio. The belts usually don’t stretch after break in, but become thinner, allowing them to sit deep in the pulleys and loosen. I slotted the mounting bolt holes in my TAV back plate so I could adjust belt tension. CVT tuning can really keep you thinking! Good fun!

    This kit works well in a drag race; however, my team races flat track and we rely on engine braking as well as the brakes. With that stall it just does not work well for us. We tested it out on the hard road, and it seems great, but when we hit the dirt track, we found the flaws very quickly.

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 Před 20 dny

      So you use the stock driver? If so do you change the springs for a lower engagement RPM? Both of my stock drivers engage at 2700 RPM which is higher than a stock Juggernaut. For how I ride engagement RPM isn't a concern.

I'm on a fixed income and groceries are ridiculous if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. A-MAX Torx 10 tooth and a 60 tooth rear. I put a chain tensioner on it. Still have to replace the clutch every month.

      Not yet...

    • @Deucealive75
      @Deucealive75 Před 20 dny

      You wouldn't want the yellow spring with the Juggernaut. Others have reported that the green spring works the best. It has the lightest tension of the three common springs.
      I like the yellow spring in the tightest hole with the stock driver. With my gearing under full throttle I get 46-4700 RPM at the belt shift. With the green spring around 3700 RPM. The red spring is in between that and not bad when in the tightest hole.
      I have never tested which is best at top speed. Not sure how the driven spring would even matter after the belt shift under full throttle.
