    And then after purchase how can we make restrict content for each person? Who bought different plan. for example there are movies in my website which is hidden when someone buy starter plan i want site to show them this option in menu, when someone buy pro plan i want site to show them podcasts and books also. How can we make this type of optimization and also signup before checkout

    hi.. nice tutorial .. i have a question. How do we create that monthly and yearly tab with pricing table and linked them to the variable subscription products like you did in your reference website? do we create two products with same title and linked them separately or how to linked variables with monthly and yearly?

    • @simongondeck
      @simongondeck  Před 2 lety

      Hey Bisma, you could do do either method. For example, create 1 variable subscription product or create 2 simple subscription products (1 for monthly, 1 for yearly). IMHO it's easier to create 2 simple subscription products. You could use a pricing table plugin like Easy Pricing Tables to show the monthly/yearly toggle: simongondeck.com/go/easy-pricing-tables/. Let me know if this helps. Cheers!

    Thanks for this awesome video.. I was searching the entire internet for it. I was wondering, once we uncheck the option in woocommerce settings, does that mean for the other products (such as on a shop page) they won't be redirected to cart and have to click on "cart" instead? Also, is the code you used 386 for the url applicable for everyone or we need to find our own url? Thank you!

    • @simongondeck
      @simongondeck  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes other products would automatically redirect to the cart page. You could look for a separate plugin to only redirect specific urls. Also, you need to replace "386" with the product ID you want to use. Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe!

    Hello Simon. Great and informative video. I was wondering if you could go a step further and solve the conundrum I've been trying to solve a couple of days. I use pricing tables for my variable subscription product (A | B | C | D)
    I made it so only 1 subscription at a time is possible and when I go to actual product it does automatically send me to /?switch-subscription but when I do it through /checkout/?add-to-cart=subscription_id it says "Sorry, this product cannot be purchased." because obviously I limit it to having only 1 subscription of this variable. How do I create the link and automatically send a person to switch subscription checkout page if they already have a subscription?

    • @simongondeck
      @simongondeck  Před rokem

      A variable product that has a monthly vs yearly price subscription? Or what are you specifically referencing?

    • @simongondeck
      @simongondeck  Před rokem +1

      You can also use the same format for variable products by looking at the variation ID instead of the product ID. For example, the product ID is 2081 but there are 2 variations for monthly (variation ID 2082) and yearly (variation ID 2083). If I wanted to link the yearly subscription I could just add the variation ID to the end of the link. For example, charliescoffeeco.com/cart/?add-to-cart=2083

      @@simongondeck So I managed to figure out where to get the button. It's not automatically on the pricing table, I needed to go in and actually put text to the button for it to show up. I'm using Unwind by SiteOrigin. And I apologize - I didn't realize you had responded so I changed my question after realizing that I was able to find how to add the button. I'm not getting redirected to a checkout page now, and I'm not sure if I need to build a specific checkout page or if it should be an 'automatic,' for lack of a better word.
