I was one of the cameramen covering the whole Starmus festival week. Getting to see this concert live was a lifetime experience. The cameras don’t truly capture how big this show was. 40 foot structures, Lazers animating buildings twice that size. Lighting drones, huge fireworks and a massive crowd. To then film and meet both Jean Michel Jarre and Brian May backstage after this event was 🤯
Yes, that is 100% true! I was there, stood a bit outside, but had a perfect view of all the effects and sound was simply overwhelming! I keep watching the video recording, to enjoy the different points of view (from cameras and drones), but even the sound isn't like it was live, not talking about all those impressions and effects. I also had the luck to listen to all the sonic tests 2 days before (standing at the window, as I live not far from where the concert was taking place). I also had a once-in-a-lifetime experience on Friday before the concert. Driving home from work over the bridge with open windows, I suddenly heard a well-known sound and melody. I looked to the right side, and, lord-behold, there he was, Brian May, training at the stage, not more than 50m from my car :-) Thanks all the folks, who participated on creating this nice event!
The 'father' of electronic music and one of the best guitarrist of all times. Just amazing. Both are history, sir Brian May of rock music, Jean Michel Jarre of electronic music, a long time ago called 'new age'.
Oh my gosh - HOW EPIC!!!! I hope - BADLY - there will be a 4K HDR Blu-ray! JMJ is truly amazing - with Brian May (I'm a huge Queen Fan since over 40 years) - it's really really breathtaking! Brian's guitar in combination with Jean's music is E P I C !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS!
What a finish to one of the best concerts I have ever attended. This song, this combo, this show - it's just incredible. In my opinion, Brian's guitar play fits extremely well to the electro beat and adds really the "salt to the soup".
Massive Queen fan here, and quite a big Jean Michelle Jarre. Funny to watch it while having had aunties in Bratyslava, England, and Paris. I've been on top of that bridge as a kid as well.
Okay...so if Jarre can play those lazar keyboard strings like that...then can you imagine a guitar solo doing the same kind of thing?. That would bring people like Brian May and all the guitarists before him like Hendrix to a new audience!. Welcome to the rock/metal world of the future!. Amazing what they can do with light nowadays...pretty spectacular show indeed!.
Two legends together giving back to their fans who have followed them for 50 years. Another one of my heroes had a 50th anniversary of Tubular Bells last year and promoted the tour through his website. Imagine my and other fans disappointment after buying front row tickets found out that he wasn’t part of it and it was just a poor tribute type act. Several people around me walked out in disgust. Terrible treatment. I have become disabled and it took a big effort on my family’s part to get me there and it was actually a risk to my life but I got there. I actually collapsed on the way out. Why couldn’t Mike have made the effort for this special occasion?
Великолепное шоу, и световые эффекты только усиливают впечатление от гитары и баса, причем гитарист у нас сам Брайн Мэй, с уникальным звуком, легенда и прочее. Хороший кач👍
I notice that the guitar sound is almost subdued in contrast to the electronic bass and rythm section, meaning that there has been a massive compression in the postproduction. This is bad, as it just makes everything into a soup of same level sound. I cannot believe that this is what the audience heard!
It seems that Brian May only has one guitar. Does he need his fans to chip in to buy him another? Seriously, even the best guitarist can do more with a variety of instruments but Brian is stuck with the same one he was using fifty years ago, owing to its association with him.
La présence de Brian May donne une touche positive à cette "musique' froide et hyper chiante. Un vrai musicien et des robots sans talent. Désolé mais si vous enlevez le barnum métallique et les lumières...il ne reste RIEN .
@@andybee64 not at all my friend , i am à musicien and à sound engineer, i just dont find J M Jarre interesting or créatif, Brian May IS interesting and is à superbe guitariste.

Wow, amazing! I never thought it would be possible that Jarre and May would one day be on stage together to make music.
But he never was on stage with Oldfield or Vangelis... :(
Oh my gosh - HOW EPIC!!!!

What a concert, what a jam session of two legends! The fusion of Rock and Synth - that great! Thank you for this video!
Techno artist and Queen guitarist….best out there. Wish them both luck and hope Queen goes on tour again.
He's one of the pioneers of electronic music overall. Techno artist? Are you serious?... )
Hey, gotta give me credit. I listen to Queen lol
Great song! They should create a live album from this show.
I agree and the one at the versillie in Paris I got the live version at the notes dam he did from Amazon was amazing. With the VR included
Need this concert to be released on streaming platforms
It was heaven...just WOW!

Alucinante duo
I just watched this on my smartphone.. so pretty much just like all the people there
Wow, that's pretty cool & exciting. I had a Jarre album way back, like probably in the 70's.
Lucky to have seen both live in concert.

That was wild. Brian May is always distinctive and there’s not much he does that I don’t find impressive

Was this not too much disco for May?
qui est la blonde derrière ?
beginnings of a good tune, needs more work. great visuals tho
Die E-Gitarre stört jetzt echt!

Nice but old, Obermair Klaus made people play with laser in the late 80‘s … immatreux
Cool. Did you know JMJ was pivotal in inventing the laser harp in 1981? So Klaus was late to the party.
Jean Paul IS a genius. 😏
The laser is such bs.....so out of time with his hand yet plays the note perfectly in time? 😅😅😅😅😅 what a joke!
Why would you reupload this? .....
For people to watch you plank
@@stevescooking There's an official recording of this... This is useless and even with worse quality..
that is stank --- Brian May should retire

Meh.. Somewhat generic.
Where is your video of you doing better?
What à wast of time and money
We get it. You'd prefer to live in a soulless world without music and art, where everybody thinks the same way you do.
@@andybee64 not at all my friend , i am à musicien and à sound engineer, i just dont find J M Jarre interesting or créatif, Brian May IS interesting and is à superbe guitariste.
So did you just take this from the live CZcams stream? That’s on Jarre’s channel?
Doesn't matter which laser he hits, just triggers the next note in a preordained sequence...people are so dumb sometimes.
