I finally get it as an above average player. It’s not that Goichi and Sonic are worse than older seasons, it’s that they were good at blocking limited mix. There’s SOOOO many crazy options now, and when you’re looking for so much, you start getting hit by far less. People like Nitro can contend with them because they adapted to this current era of the game and excel at it. Just because he’s amazing, doesn’t mean Sonic is “washed”.

Go1 losing kind of shows defense ain't the best in this game lol..dude blocked like everything for 10 secs then boom random hit..God this game I dunno how some still play this..it's fun but long ass block strings, and 20 sec combos makes the game boring.dbfz needs a push block and a burst/combo breaker
Of course defense ain't the best in this game, due to its rushdown oriented gameplay. BTW, it does have a "pushblock" both are reflect and guard cancel and they also have counterplay.
@@El_Chuchuca reflect is far from push block lol seriously..yeah on paper but in action nah brah..like all the matched you seen on a pro level how many use the reflect at all?..and the game is a rush down game doesn't mean it shouldn't have defense. If anything it should have more if it's a rush down game..like killer instinct..yeah you rush in get combos,but guess what they have a combo breaker like most games that have a " rush down meta/tag game(like mvc, or even bb cross tag). People defending the poor defense in this game is what is kind of killing it..that and the ui fusion meta

I 100% agree. I only have respect for the pros who are actually good at the game. But this game is scrubby and takes 0 skill. Which is exactly why I dropped the game and went to BBTAG. Far better fighting game than FighterZ. Takes more skill.
