陶芸家 菊地亨さんをご紹介します。
菊地さんの器は、自然と手に馴染む質感と、一言では表現しにくいアーティスティックな色使い、同じものが二つと無いアドリブで作られたフォルムが魅力的です。
ただ無作為に作るのではなく、土を同じ重さに分けそこからアドリブで形を作ります。
その独特な形は、使う側に湯呑みや、一輪挿しとして自由に使える余白が残されてます。
複雑な色味はまさに森を見ているようで、たくさんの色や質感が交わり、なんとも言えない深みを感じます。
個性的な器に見えますが、使ってみるととても生活に馴染むところも魅力です。
和の要素も洋の要素も含まれていてさまざまなシチュエーションで使えます。

Just a most wonderful video...no words necessary...and the pottery is amazing...Love the shapes and glazes. Many look like what I imagine wabi-sabi pottery would look like..organic and perfectly understated. He is a true master as well as the photographer and editor et al.

I was just thinking that pottery artists would know exactly from where would their pot break. They know exactly where they bend the dough and where they left it with less dough!
